As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients across the lifespan, including children, teens, and adults.

I hold specialized certifications in treating anxiety, depression, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), with a particular focus on working with veterans.

I’m certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, and I integrate mindfulness as a core component of my therapeutic approach. I hold specialized certifications in treating anxiety, depression, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), with a particular focus on working with veterans. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCPT). My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space that fosters trust and open communication. Together, we’ll develop a comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and symptoms. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy reading and traveling with my husband.

First session

Our first session is all about getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and what’s felt challenging lately. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with—there’s no pressure to tell your whole story right away. We’ll also talk about your goals, explore how therapy can support you, and begin identifying what a path forward might look like. I’ll answer any questions you have about the therapy process so you feel informed and supported from the start. Most importantly, this session is a space for you to feel heard and respected. My role is to listen, guide, and collaborate with you—never to judge or rush. We’ll move at your pace and make sure this feels like a space where you can show up as your full self.

Strengths

Clients often tell me they feel truly heard, supported, and respected in our work together. I bring a calm, grounded presence to sessions and create a space where clients feel safe to be honest, vulnerable, and curious about their inner world. One of my strengths is blending structure with flexibility. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop practical tools, but I always tailor the work to your pace, personality, and goals. Whether we’re challenging unhelpful thoughts, building emotional regulation skills, or working through life transitions, I keep the process collaborative and down-to-earth. I also help clients connect the dots between what they’re feeling and what they’re experiencing—so they can move from stuckness to insight, and from insight to change. My goal isn’t just to help you cope, but to help you grow in a way that feels sustainable, authentic, and aligned with who you are.

Ideal clients

I work best with clients who are ready to explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and who are open to building new skills to support growth and healing. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted. Some are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, burnout, or the impact of past experiences. Others are living with ongoing symptoms of anxiety, depression, or ADHD and want practical strategies to manage them. I’m especially well-suited to support individuals who are looking for a structured, goal-oriented approach like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but still want a space that feels collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. You don’t have to have it all figured out—just a willingness to show up, be curious, and take small steps toward change. Together, we’ll identify what’s getting in the way of feeling better and work at your pace to develop insight, build coping skills, and create lasting change.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients explore how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected—and how making small changes in one area can lead to meaningful progress in others. In our work together, we’ll identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop more balanced perspectives, and build practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, depression, or life transitions. Whether we’re challenging negative self-talk, practicing new coping strategies, or using mindfulness to stay grounded, I tailor CBT to fit your unique goals, strengths, and lived experiences. I also adapt the approach for different age groups and life stages, ensuring that the work feels accessible, collaborative, and supportive.

I have been seeing Zona for a few months now, she is attentive, extremely kind and has such a personal way of celebrating victories big and small and encouraging change and improvement when new life challenges arrive. She takes her time listening to you and really getting to know you story and who you are as a person leading you to really feel heard and understood.
