Welcome here! My name is Tommie A Colin, LPC, experienced as a Psychotherapist/Counseling Therapist and Mental Health Practitioner. This can be a safe space to explore, discuss and address your concerns. Here, you matter! As a therapist, my focus is you and helping you address your concerns. I am here to listen and help in a non-judgmental and compassionate way, and from an empathetic perspective. We are all human, just trying to be okay and do better as we can. Your story is not over. I am here to help you towards your "Season of Growth" on your path to clarity, authenticity or healing.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then discuss the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Clients are invited to ask questions, as needed. It is important for my clients to feel comfortable seeking services with me for their level of comfort to be respected and for mutual respect of our boundaries, to ensure that our relationship is a good fit for the client or clients. I will go over consents/disclosures, intake questions with the client per first session protocol.
Helping a client believe in themself, find hope and grow resiliency of spirit towards self-empowerment is a professional strength of mine. I also do my best to make the counseling session a safe space for the client(s) to express, discuss and explore their thoughts, feelings, issues, challenges experiences and goals as needed, as part of the counseling relationship and process. I engage in really listening to the client to help them enhance their mental health and well being to grow and make progress.
Persons of varying ages (from teens to adults), for whom I serve, are: those seeking counseling/behavioral help for individual, relationship, family needs related to life challenges/internal conflicts including life transitions, work/life balance, career exploration, emotional regulation, reactive behavior, trauma, grief, domestic violence, or physical, verbal, emotional, or sexual abuse. Individuals with neurodivergent minds and those seeking to improve their self confidence, and self esteem are very welcome here.

I find Tommie very kind and easy to talk to. I could tell right away she was very concerned about my well being and goals for my future. And no pressure to discuss things I was not ready to talk about. That's so important when finding a good therapist.

Tommie is trauma informed, empowering and a patient advocate first and foremost. I feel hope for my own process knowing she has clinical expertise, diverse experience and natural empathy that shows up inherently.
