You've spent enough time putting everyone else first. It's time to take care of you. You're the one everyone counts on. You show up for your family, your job, your friends, and everyone who needs you. From the outside, it looks like you're handling it all, but inside you're exhausted. Maybe your mind never stops racing, anxiety keeps you up at night, past trauma still affects your daily life, or you're feeling overwhelmed, burned out, grieving, or simply not like yourself anymore. You don't have to keep carrying it all alone. I'm Sarah Langlois, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Air Force veteran. I help adults overcome anxiety, trauma, PTSD, depression, grief, burnout, relationship challenges, life transitions, and chronic stress so they can feel more like themselves again. Therapy is more than just talking—it's a place where you'll feel heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools to create lasting change. Together, we'll work to reduce anxiety and quiet racing thoughts, heal from painful experiences, manage stress with greater confidence, set healthy boundaries without guilt, strengthen your relationships, and create a life that feels calmer, more balanced, and fulfilling. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based techniques tailored to your unique goals. You don't have to keep doing this on your own. Taking the first step can feel intimidating, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change. When you're ready, I'm here to help you move from simply getting through each day to truly living it.
Therapy with me starts with meeting you where you are. There is no pressure to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin. From our first session, you'll have a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space to share your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, identify what's keeping you feeling stuck, and develop practical strategies that support your goals. My role is to listen with compassion, ask thoughtful questions, and help you gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful change. You don't have to carry everything on your own—we'll work as a team to find an approach that fits your unique needs, strengths, and lifestyle. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, stress, grief, or a major life transition, therapy can be the first step toward feeling more balanced, confident, and in control. If you're ready to invest in your well-being, I'd be honored to support you on your journey.
With nearly a decade of experience working with adults, I provide therapy that is compassionate, insightful, and grounded in real, lasting change. I welcome referrals for individuals seeking a therapist who offers both emotional support and practical guidance during periods of stress, transition, burnout, and emotional overwhelm. While I have extensive experience working with women and Veterans, my approach is deeply individualized, recognizing that every client brings a unique story, set of challenges, and strengths into the therapy space. I am known for creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported while also being challenged to grow in meaningful ways. My work is rooted in authenticity, trust, and helping clients build greater emotional clarity, resilience, and stability in their everyday lives. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, identity shifts, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the emotional weight of balancing multiple responsibilities. I especially connect with individuals who appear high functioning on the outside while internally feeling exhausted, disconnected, or overwhelmed. For Veterans, I understand the complexity of transitioning out of service and the lasting impact military experiences can have on emotional wellbeing, relationships, identity, and purpose. This may include navigating hypervigilance, moral injury, difficulty reconnecting with others, or redefining life beyond service. My goal is to provide a grounded, nonjudgmental space where clients can process difficult experiences while rebuilding a stronger sense of self and direction. Whether someone feels stuck, emotionally drained, uncertain of who they are becoming, or simply tired of carrying everything alone, I help clients move beyond survival mode and toward a life that feels more connected, intentional, and sustainable.
I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—even when they’re unsure where to begin. Many clients reach out during periods when life feels heavier than usual, whether due to rising anxiety, emotional burnout, unresolved trauma, depressive symptoms, or major life transitions that have shaken their sense of stability or identity. I also have extensive experience supporting military Veterans as they navigate the emotional, relational, and identity challenges that can arise during or after service, including the transition to civilian life, processing high-stress experiences, and reconnecting with a sense of purpose beyond duty. Clients come to therapy for many different reasons. Some are ready to address long-standing patterns that no longer serve them, such as relationship dynamics, boundary struggles, self-criticism, or coping habits. Others are working to rebuild self-trust and confidence after difficult or discouraging experiences. Many simply arrive exhausted from carrying everything on their own and are seeking a space where they don’t have to be strong, composed, or “hold it together.” My role is to help clients slow down and better understand what’s happening beneath the surface—emotionally, mentally, and relationally. Together, we clarify what they want for their lives, explore the beliefs and patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and create a grounded, realistic path forward that feels both meaningful and achievable. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and practical. Our work blends compassion with clear, evidence-based strategies. We explore personal history and relational patterns, gently challenge unhelpful beliefs, and build effective tools for emotional regulation, stress management, and day-to-day coping that can be sustained outside of session. For Veterans, therapy often includes processing service-related experiences, navigating major transitions, strengthening relationships, and reclaiming identity beyond survival mode or constant responsibility. I approach this work with deep respect for lived experience and care tailored to each individual. Across all of my work, my goal is for clients to feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered—to have a steady space where they can show up as they are and know that it’s enough. I welcome referrals for adults and Veterans seeking thoughtful, grounded therapy and meaningful change. If you’re ready to take the next step with the right support, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward greater clarity, balance, and confidence.

Strength-Based
I offer strength-based therapy, a supportive and empowering approach that focuses on what makes you strong, not just what’s been difficult. Together, we’ll explore your resilience, your inner resources, and the ways you’ve already grown through life’s challenges- often more than you realize. Instead of focusing on what’s “wrong,” we’ll look at what’s right and build from there. This kind of therapy helps you reconnect with your sense of identity, confidence, and purpose, offering a fresh and hopeful path toward healing and lasting change.
Supportive
I use supportive therapy to help clients navigate life’s challenges by providing a safe, nonjudgmental space to process thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My approach focuses on strengthening coping skills, building resilience, enhancing self-esteem, and helping clients identify their existing strengths and resources. With nearly a decade of experience working with adults, veterans, and women facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges, I strive to create a collaborative and compassionate therapeutic relationship. Supportive therapy can be especially helpful during periods of stress, uncertainty, grief, or adjustment, offering encouragement while fostering insight, growth, and emotional well-being.
Interpersonal
I incorporate interpersonal therapy (IPT) to help clients understand how their relationships, communication patterns, and life transitions impact their emotional well-being. My approach focuses on identifying interpersonal challenges, improving communication skills, strengthening relationships, and addressing issues such as grief, role transitions, conflict, and social isolation. With nearly a decade of experience working with adults, Veterans, and women navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life changes, I help clients explore the connection between their relationships and mental health. I provide a supportive, collaborative environment where clients can develop healthier ways of relating to others, build stronger support systems, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress. My approach is collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented, helping clients develop skills they can apply in their daily lives. With nearly a decade of experience working with adults, veterans, and women experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions, I tailor CBT interventions to each client's unique needs and goals. Together, we explore how thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, challenge negative thinking patterns, and build healthier coping strategies. My goal is to empower clients with tools that promote resilience, emotional well-being, and long-term growth both inside and outside of therapy.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and coping effectively with life's challenges. My approach combines acceptance and change strategies, helping clients build mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. With nearly a decade of experience working with adults, veterans, and women facing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and emotion regulation difficulties, I integrate DBT techniques in a compassionate and supportive manner tailored to each client's needs. I focus on helping clients increase self-awareness, navigate difficult situations more effectively, and create meaningful changes that align with their values and goals. My goal is to provide clients with skills that foster resilience, confidence, and lasting emotional well-being.

Unfortunately, Sarah wasn't very helpful. She actually blamed me for the sound quality of our session. I went to therapy to find a helpful listening ear. I did not find that with Sarah!!
