"Of all the people you feel need you, You need yourself the most." This is my personal quote valuing presence with yourself over performance for others. Hi, I am a compassionate, client-centered therapist dedicated to supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most vulnerable and transformative moments. My work is grounded in the belief that healing is not about fixing what is “broken” but about reconnecting with your strengths, values, and capacity for growth even during seasons of uncertainty or overwhelm. I am a proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology. I went on to earn my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from the University of West Georgia, where I was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, the International Counseling Honor Society—an honor recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to the counseling profession.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
As the Founder and Clinical Director of ABENA Counseling & Consulting Solutions, which was created with a vision of providing care that honors strength while holding space for softness, vulnerability, and healing, my goal is to create a practice where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to show up fully in their lives—rooted in authenticity, balance, and emotional well-being. In our first session, we’ll take the time to get to know one another, discuss your current challenges, and collaboratively develop a customized plan tailored to your specific needs. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you—balancing insight, skill-building, and compassion as you move toward meaningful change.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is being a culturally competent therapist who prioritizes building strong, trusting relationships with my clients. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you will feel heard and understood, while also offering honest and thoughtful perspectives that foster accountability and meaningful growth. My approach to therapy is eclectic and collaborative, meaning I tailor treatment to your unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. I draw from evidence-based modalities, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-to identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. Person-Centered Therapy- to foster authenticity, self-trust, and emotional safety Solution-Focused Therapy- to highlight strengths and create practical, goal-oriented change Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-to help you build psychological flexibility and live in alignment with your values.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to work with individuals who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in self-doubt, or weighed down by expectations—whether those expectations come from family, relationships, school, or themselves. Many of my clients are high-achieving, deeply caring people who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional burnout, or feeling “not enough,” even when they appear to be doing well on the outside, who want to build self-worth and confidence, improve emotional regulation and coping skills, set healthy boundaries without shame, process family, relational, or generational stress, reduce anxiety, comparison, and self-criticism, feel more grounded, understood, and aligned with their values. I specialize in supporting clients navigating Anxiety and Depression, Postpartum Depression and Postpartum Anxiety, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Life transitions, Identity shifts, and Role changes, all critical areas that impact both the individual and their loved ones. I hold the perspective that success isn’t symptom-free living; it’s self-trusting living, responding rather than reacting, understanding your inner world instead of fearing it.
