Though I was born in the USA, my early years were spent in Colombia, South America. As a child I was deeply affected by the contrast between the natural tropical beauty and all the poverty and depravity around me. I could not reconcile the violence and injustice I witnessed. As I grew up and began traveling around the world, I realized that so many of these people had indeed figured out ways to cope with war, violence, abuse, and injustice. I admired their resiliency. How did they do it? RESILIENCY in RELATIONSHIPS! That was the key!! With much research, studying, and face to face experience, I realized RESILIENCY in RELATIONSHIPS was LEARNED! I always thought it was something you either had or didn’t have from childhood. I was stunned to learn that failure and strife actually cultivates RESILIENCY! But there are skills to learn to make it happen, skills such as self-awareness, ability to pay attention (mindfulness), learning to grieve and let go while embracing change, learning how to have healthy relationships with others and with ourselves, and accessing positive emotions while focusing on the beauty in life. I'd love to walk with you through this process to restore hope.

Thank you for taking the first step of courage and making yourself a priority today. Opening yourself up and being vulnerable can be a tremendous step to your healing process. As Brene Brown says, “Vulnerability is not winning or losing, it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.” You are showing up for yourself today! Although the first steps can be overwhelming, I can walk with you and help guide you on the journey of healing and peace. I will always provide a safe space of acceptance and non-judgement for you to share your emotional pain, grow to love and be kind to yourself, and find the peace you deserve to heal. Remember that you are worthy and deserving of being free of the emotional pain you are experiencing. Be kind to yourself. **If you are viewing my profile for your child (3-17 years of age), I provide a calming and accepting space to assist with regulating your child's emotions. If your child is experiencing symptoms of anxiety, ADHD or difficulty focusing due to inattention or hyperactivity, or maybe your child is lacking motivation and seems more irritable and angrier than usual, I will teach your child the tools and strategies they need to cope with their challenges. Together, we can help your child feel happy again. Please view my website at worthytherapyservices.org

My name is Brytni Johnson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) born and raised in Texas (always in and around "DFW”). I have been working with people: moms and dads; sons and daughters; brothers and sisters; even grandparents for as long as I can remember. I realized just over 12 years ago, I wanted to "help people." I wanted to become educated and trained; learn how to better explore and accentuate my natural skills, while also being able to understand and develop new skills to best assist my clients. In 2012, I graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work. In 2016, I graduated with my Master of Social Work. Shortly after graduating, I obtained my LMSW licensure, and have been practicing in a licensed, professional environment for the past 7 years. After obtaining my license, it was then, my "toolbelt" (yes, toolbelt) gained its first tool. From there, I began working towards building my clinical knowledge in order to obtain my clinical license as a social worker. I obtained my LCSW licensure June 2022; shortly after completing over 3,000 clock hours and over 100 clinical supervision hours.

Hi there! I'm Rachel! Are you struggling to navigate everything life is throwing at you in the increasingly hectic world? I love exploring deep down the funnel of emotions with my clients using DBT, Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral strategies. Together we can tackle your anxiety, depression and the relational issues that come into play that keep you from being your ideal self, whether that be in your relationships, your family, your career, or another important area of your life. If you are fighting feelings of depression and anxiety, and struggling with self-compassion, I'd love to walk with you as you work to heal. In our sessions, we will explore who you are and what matters to you. We will tackle thought patterns that aren't serving you and work on new ways to interact with your thoughts and feelings that serve you more effectively. I offer a safe space for my clients to process what circumstances brought them to where they are at, and the gentle push to move forward. I love bringing self-compassion and mindfulness practices to sessions. I can imagine you are exhausted. From whatever pain has brought you here, I know that you wouldn't wish it on anyone else. I know you are probably so much more kind to others than you are to you. I want us to work on changing that. If you're ready, I am too!
