I was born and raised in Texas. I love the Texas Summer nights and Autumn days. I grew up in a blended family of my mother, grandparents, biological brother, and many foster brothers and sisters. Let's just say things were always interesting, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Those experiences helped shape who I am and gave me insight into a variety of people. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and a Certified Sex Therapist (CST). I received a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. I have a Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin-Simmons University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Abilene Christian University. When I'm not counseling, I love to read all things paranormal (i.e. vampires, werewolves, fae, etc.). I enjoy music, different forms of dance and fitness, cooking and eating new dishes, as well as, traveling. Also, I am one third of The RePsychled Podcast, which is a podcast that focuses on educating and bringing mental health awareness to minority communities in a down to earth way.

My name is Richard Spires. I believe in the therapeutic alliance. Counseling is a team effort and we get the best results when we work together. Part of my counseling style is that I take time getting to know you and try to truly understand your issues. I have been to counseling myself and had experiences where I felt the therapist was not trying to understand my problems. I told myself that when I become a counselor, I never want any of my patients to feel like I didn't care. So I take pride in getting to know you and understanding your problems. So whenever you're ready to talk, I'm ready to listen.

I was in the United States Marine Corps from 1998-2003 and during this time I learned a great deal about myself and became more culturally diverse. During my third year of service, I was injured at Officers Candidate School and realized that I needed to develop my counseling skills, so I worked with an agency that counseled teens regarding their addiction. I have been in the social services field for the past twenty years and have been licensed for the past 10 years. When I got out of the Marines in 2003, I went home to North Carolina and my father passed away three days later unexpectedly so, I needed a job and I was able to use my previous years working with teens and became a supervisor at Sipes Orchard Home took in unwanted children from parents, Level II and Level IV agencies, and the Department of Children and Families. After being here at this facility for two years I left as they weren't following the Medicaid standards. I left the agency and went to work for The Cognitive Connection as the Prevention Supervisor providing preventive services for teens and was part of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) providing groups to adults. I worked with Cognitive Connection for three years and left to go to Pensacola, Florida because I had heard they were starting a MSW program. I felt hopeful as I knew getting my master’s in social work would change my life forever. After I finished the MSW program I immediately started working for Lakeview Services in Adult Outpatient Community Mental Health and then worked in the Drug Court program. I stayed here for three years until I got a job with the DoD in Oklahoma because my wife was trying to get a federal job, so I moved to support her and my family. While working with the DoD I was able to get my supervision for licensing, created an anger management program for the DoD, and stayed until my LCSW license was finalized in December of 2013. When I came back to Florida I worked for Volunteers of America for a couple of years until a federal job opened at Veterans Affairs in Pensacola, FL, in August of 2016. I have been licensed in Florida for the past 10 years, recently became licensed in Texas and Oklahoma. I have some clients who are in therapy with me for several weeks to several months depending on their individual needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Hello Friend! Everyone, at one point or another, stress can make one feel weighed down. We may even describe the feeling as 'lost in a web of frustration' with a host of unbearable stressors. Some may describe it as feeling anxious, fatigue, or sadness, our unique threshold completely depleted. But did you know anxious energy is normal? Many would not know what is wrong, just all it stress. Others as tired. Anxiousness is innate in all of us, a way to escape danger. What's not healthy is when stressors cross the threshold of what feels comfortable and interrupt daily habits/responsibilities. But how do we 'fix things' when all we want is to be alone? When life throws us lemons, do we make lemonade? YES! As simple as finding a helper - me. I’ll help you navigate the web of confusion to find YOUR empowerment. My journey began as a young child whose home life was a host of struggles/abuse which later became insight into the struggle others experience. In my case, I found a well-regarded psychotherapist who helped me learn life-long cognitive tools. My work as a psychotherapist began in a clinical setting. I garnered a vast amount of knowledge which helped me to specialize in various modalities of treatment. Proper psychotherapists should emphasize there is no such thing as "the magic pill" and most treatments don't require medication. I hold a high standard for clients' rights as a mental health advocate and a high standard for myself. I serve all slices of society including those dealing with depression, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, past trauma, adjustment, chronic health and other issues. Together, we can identify what's not working for you. We can find solutions you innately use and form goals that do NOT require much change in your life - ultimate healing.

I was trained in Rapid Resolution therapy in 2017 and have used the techniques with clients in a variety of settings. Although I enjoy working with clients on a variety of issues, my specialization is in eating disorders, mood and trauma-related disorders with 3+ years experience working in higher levels of care in the eating disorder field. Hello! I am a Doctor of Marriage & Family Therapy and currently a Licensed Professional Counselor. I currently have 8 years of counseling/clinical experience. As a LPC, my style is warm, non-judgmental, and compassionate. I use a mix of solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and person-centered therapies. I aim to make clients feel comfortable and at ease while being attentive and open. I specialize in both outpatient and inpatient services treating military/veteran populations, PTSD/trauma, substance abuse disorders and addiction, co-occurring disorders, anxiety/depression/stress, ADHD, sports psychology and performance anxiety with student/professional athletes, and family/couples/relational and intimate relationships. Additionally, I have specialized experience in conducting clinical assessments of substance abuse patients, formulating behavioral health treatment plans, providing professional counseling to substance abuse patients, treating psychological conditions associated with medical complications, performing biopsychosocial/psychological evaluations of clients, developing behavioral health treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy for adolescents, teenagers, adults, couples, and family populations. There are countless theories, modalities, and orientations in the therapy world. This can be very confusing for those who simply are unsure what fits them. My biggest takeaway from this journey of mine is that it is not so much about a theory but rather active listening, creating context, and simply being there with the individual(s) looking for different perspectives to help guide a client to move forward is really what therapy is all about. I look forward to guiding you on your journey of faith, hope and wellness!

Hi there. I'm Abigail McNeely. I am the owner of Wellspring Behavioral Health, founded in 1998, and collaborate with Grow to offer therapy to people like you. Visit my website at www.ibwell.com to learn a bit more about Wellspring. Let me tell you a little about me. I received my Doctor of Psychology from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota and a Master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Texas in Austin. In addition to graduate coursework, I completed a neuropsychological practicum at Austin State Hospital, a health psychology internship at The Everett Clinic in Everett Washington, and a counseling internship at New Life Institute in Austin, Texas. I approach therapy as a teacher, coach, and cheerleader. My perspective is holistic; that is, I see us as whole beings and believe therapy is best when we remember to acknowledge our complexity. I started my career as a paramedic in Florida, and Texas. Working in EMS for 15 years with sick and injured people prompted a great interest in the underlying psychological elements that drive us as humans. I learned then that how we respond to difficulties shapes how we endure and recover. I was and am truly amazed at the strength and resilience of people! The privilege of joining with others as they face their challenges has enriched me and I want to share that with you. In my downtime, I like to hike, camp, play with my pups, love on my cats, and watch the world go by. I have been married for 37 years and am devoted to my spouse and our future.

Hi there, I'm Farah Ali. I am a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and dedicated advocate for my clients. My educational foundation is based in psychology and social justice, having earned my master's degree in social work with a dual concentration in community practice and clinical mental health. Driven by a strong commitment to human rights and social justice, I am dedicated to advocating for every individual I work with and the communities I am part of. My Core Principles as a Therapist: Focusing on Strengths & Empowerment: Central to our work is helping you to more deeply connect to—and really use—your inherent strengths. This means looking for growth opportunities where some might find roadblocks and accessing both internal and external resources to help you make the changes you want to see in your life. Working for Comprehensive Wellness: Therapy is a place where we can work toward mental and emotional wellness, learn how to foster positive relationships, and discover a greater sense of balance and ease in your day-to-day life. Promoting Connection & Authenticity: The relationship we have is vital, which is why I work hard to make sure our relationship is a nurturing space for meaningful growth. Creating Safety in Being Seen: I strive to make our sessions a place where every emotion is valued, encouraged, and supported—yes, even the “bad” or “undesirable” emotions. This is the space we cultivate together in our work, and space that is here to help you more deeply see yourself, and be seen in your authenticity.

I believe the most important part of therapy is a relationship that is non-judgmental, open, and warm. I want our time together to be collaborative. I want to understand what has worked for you in the past and what you’d like to focus on in your future. I grew up in Louisiana and started my training in New Orleans, where I worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I have worked with court-mandated clients, domestic violence survivors, to private therapy settings. My treatment specialties range from depression, anxiety, substance use, and trauma. I use techniques ranging from cognitive behavioral approach to EMDR when appropriate. I believe there is no such thing as “therapy as usual” because each person has a unique worldview, history, and personal goals. I want therapy to feel tailored to you and be a space for you to explore what’s on your mind.
