Hello. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Southwest Florida. I earned my Master's degree in Counseling from PennWest California located in W. Pennsylvania. In my clinical work, I draw from varied experiences in rural communities serving adults and adolescents in hospitals, community clinics and have a special appreciation for the unique challenges faced by individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+. I seek to specialize in providing mental health care that is affirming and mindful of others' lived experiences.

My counseling approach is individualized where I draw from current research in brain science, physiology of trauma, counseling, positive psychology, existential philosophy, and mind sight. I provide services in a culturally sensitive and trauma informed manner where you feel safe and capable to ignite your curiosity, where you will gain insight into your heart wisdom and intelligence, and where meaningful releases of painful body sensations and memories happens without being re-traumatized. I have spent nearly 20 years in the fields of child trauma, childhood sexual abuse and reactivity, substance abuse, and mental health. I specialize in working with individuals with co-occurring disorders, clients who struggle to achieve and maintain sobriety, families in crisis, individuals with trauma, child welfare cases, and those with significant mental health diagnoses. I utilize a trauma-informed, client-centered, strengths-based approach when working with all clients and I combine evidence-based trauma treatments with Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Play Therapy.
