My name is Brytni Johnson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) born and raised in Texas (always in and around "DFW”). I have been working with people: moms and dads; sons and daughters; brothers and sisters; even grandparents for as long as I can remember. I realized just over 12 years ago, I wanted to "help people." I wanted to become educated and trained; learn how to better explore and accentuate my natural skills, while also being able to understand and develop new skills to best assist my clients.
In 2012, I graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work. In 2016, I graduated with my Master of Social Work. Shortly after graduating, I obtained my LMSW licensure, and have been practicing in a licensed, professional environment for the past 7 years. After obtaining my license, it was then, my "toolbelt" (yes, toolbelt) gained its first tool. From there, I began working towards building my clinical knowledge in order to obtain my clinical license as a social worker. I obtained my LCSW licensure June 2022; shortly after completing over 3,000 clock hours and over 100 clinical supervision hours.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I hold licenses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and specialty certification as a Certified Advanced Drug & Alcohol Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I am a firm believer in everything that happens creates the person. I am a whole life counselor and work with people to explore what it would take to move past the difficult times in life.
I take the time to get to know my clients and have many clients who have been with me for years. That doesn't mean someone will see me every week for the rest of their life. It means client know I am available when they have need. I do have clients who have seen me weekly for years not because they are dependent on me but because they have found benefit in processing their life regularly.
I have had a successful personal practice for years and can offer clients the space and reverence to unpack the most unpleasant things to reorder them in a way they no longer can cause harm as they once did. There is no perfect childhood and it is likely families do the best they can and it may not have filled the needs of their child.
I am happy to take as much time as needed to work through the problem as you understand it.

I have experience working with individuals, couples and families on issues related to addiction, infidelity and trust, self esteem, depression, anxiety, life changes, divorce, identifying goals, grief and loss as well as caregiver stress and elder adult issues and transitions. I have also worked with clients that are struggling with their identity, motivation and setting goals. I have experience with exposure response therapy to assist those with OCD. I also use trauma informed care to work with those who have experienced traumatic events from abuse to loss.
I believe in a person’s ability to develop and grow, in order to become authentic. I utilize different approaches to meet my clients’ needs and help them find success in therapy. I utilize Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Dynamics and Person Centered Therapy to create a plan that will best fit the individual client.
My approach is warm and interactive, I believe in asking thoughtful questions that cause clients to think and look deeper. I also inquire about my clients’ beliefs and background to get a better picture of who they are and what shaped them. It also allows me to be sensitive and respectful of cultural needs and differences.

My name is Marisa. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Rutgers School of Biomedical Science.
I provided individual counseling and case management to individuals diagnosed with mental health and substance abuse barriers. As a graduate student, I have launched community-wide outreach events to educate members of the community about Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. This work strengthened my commitment to become an advocate for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking.
I am deeply committed to my work and this is demonstrated in my ability to connect with my clients. My goal as a clinician is to empower individuals and families while remaining receptive to feedback throughout the therapeutic process. I use a wide collective range of clinical modalities and interventions such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which assists in combating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Passionate that therapy must meet the individual’s needs, I believe that therapy and progress are not linear, and must be tailored to the individual. I have a deep passion, advanced education, and extensive field experience that have provided me with a dynamic set of interpersonal skills that cement my effectiveness as a competent clinician.

Greetings! Much gratitude for inviting me to be part of your journey! Keep letting your beautiful light shine through. Namaste and blessings!
I am passionate how physical health intertwines with mental health. Therefore I nourish my body with plants and move every day! I have found joy as a boxing instructor and runner. I hope to expose myself to more cultures through travel. I studied abroad in Ecuador and participated in service trips to El Salvador, Mississippi, New Orleans, and the Appalachian region. I live a spiritual life with the belief that we and all “things” are connected by a shared energy of love.
