I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Alcohol Drug Counselor, and a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist. I obtained my Masters from the University of Southern California and my undergraduate degree is in psychology from Montclair State University. I have been practicing for six years and worked with a wide variety of clients. I honestly love what I do and I love seeing the successes my clients achieve. I am a straight and direct counselor that is willing to have the difficult conversations. I will challenge you to push yourself. However, you will always be met with empathy, compassion, and respect. I have been working with individuals struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use, sexual addiction, and mental health challenges for the past ten years. I have a real heart to walk alongside you to encourage, support, and empower you to move forward in your recovery needs. I graduated from Liberty University in 2014 with an MA in Professional Counseling and completed a Doctoral program specializing in treating trauma-related challenges. I approach recovery through the eyes of motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I am also trained in EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

Once a previous skeptic, the quality of my personal and professional life significantly improved through therapy once I learned to trust the process and invest in myself. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master's degree in Counselor Education. I am a US Army veteran and have worked extensively with Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Issues, and challenging adolescent behaviors with civilian and military families.

I am an LPC with 15 years of experience using scientifically proven modalities to help those suffering from anxiety, PTSD and depression. My passion also lies with helping women and couples with crisis pregnancies, family planning, postpartum depression and parenting skills. I collaborate with my clients to create a treatment plan to address their unique needs. I offer clients unconditional positive regard and empathy and will see them through setbacks and successes.

As an Army Brat and Marine wife, I understand the unique challenges faced by military families. I'm also a mother of three young men, spending my weekends cheering them on at swim meets. Fully licensed in Georgia and several other states, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can share your experiences and work towards your personal growth. My name is Kayla and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Masters of Social Work from Fordham University and am currently working on my Doctorate of Social Work from Rutgers University with a focus on first responder trauma. I have worked in the field for over ten years and have experience working with individuals across the lifespan. My specialty is trauma-focused therapy, which helps to resolve prior and current experiences. I also enjoy working with adults feeling depressed and anxious.
