I am a licensed therapist in Texas and Michigan with 7 years of professional work experience. I like to start by understanding the person and their perception on where they are at a given moment, while at the same time opening up new possibilities by discovering a different meaning of the people and events that surround us. I am experienced in working with diverse populations and ages. The most common challenges that I help my clients address are trauma, communication /relationship issues, depression, anxiety, panic attacks. Sometimes a mere desire of getting to know yourself better can be a beginning of a journey where my presence can be an important support to reaching your goals. As a licensed clinical therapist and licensed substance abuse counselor, I have experience running very powerful substance abuse and co-occurring groups. Prior to that, I worked as a social worker in Flint, Michigan for many years as a therapist, caseworker and in crisis intervention. My experiences have given me such a rich experience and exposure to the many factors that contribute to our personal mental health and well-being. I've been fortunate to work with people in their homes, in the community, with their families as well as the private practice setting which have given me a much richer experience than just an of an office setting alone.
