Hi I'm Gaby. If you have been feeling sick and stuck in a negative thought process and wondering if there is anyone who can understand or help you, let's talk. I am here to help you experience change and escape from the pattern of life that has left you feeling different, unwell, and stuck.
I am first and foremost a Trauma Informed Recovery Therapist. This means that I believe in you and I believe in your goals and I know we can find a way to get there while acknowledging all that you have been through. I realized I wanted to become a therapist during a serendipitous summer camp experience—40 feet in the air on the high ropes course, I learned that I loved helping people process challenging experiences in creative ways. I love using a lot of different approaches depending on what we are working on. Some of my favorite methods are cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, strength based therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
I have been doing individual therapy with teens and adults of all ages since 2020. Previously, I worked as a clinical consultant, clinical director, and clinical supervisor in specialized mental health rehabilitation settings. I have been supporting people in creating and meeting their goals since 2012. I have used all of my past work experiences to learn how to work with clients to explore dreams, and strengths, and learn how to make these things their reality. I use eclectic strategies to support people as they sort through their lives and figure out ways to move forward in a new light.
I believe that therapy is a special space that allows a person to sit, process, and problem-solve in a way that can’t always be done in day-to-day.

As a therapist with a Master's in Social Work and specialized certification in alcohol and drug counseling, my passion lies in guiding and supporting you through your journey to well-being. My approach is rooted in empathy and strength-based interventions, empowering you to navigate life's complexities with confidence. Inclusivity is at the heart of my practice; I strive to create a space where every individual—regardless of background or identity—is met with respect and unwavering support.
In our sessions, you'll find a welcoming and non-judgmental space where we can tackle tough subjects head-on. We'll work together to uncover personalized strategies and interventions that play to your strengths and fit into your life.
The heart of our work is the therapeutic relationship. I am dedicated to building a connection where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and validated. Together, we will work toward healing and personal growth, using your strengths as a foundation for progress.
Beyond my role as a therapist, I enjoy a good book and the finding a new cozy coffee shop. My love for Michigan's natural beauty and the joys of travel also enrich my life and work.
If you're contemplating therapy, I invite you to reach out for an initial consultation. It's an opportunity for us to explore how we can collaboratively address your goals and navigate the challenges ahead. I look forward to the possibility of working with you.

Hi, I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor. I’ve worked in counseling in clinics, schools, psychiatric hospitals and my own clinic. I have 40 years experience. I enjoy my job and get great satisfaction from helping people feel accomplished. I use many methods of counseling to achieve client's objective. I believe that only working together with trust can things be achieved. With trust the therapist can talk about things that make the client feel bad. Helping clients see self-defeating behavior via cognitive behavioral therapy helps the client attempt different methods to deal with their problems.

We often go through life managing internal struggles, while attempting to navigate our circumstances. Often by seeking greater understanding into ourselves and our relationships, we may come face to face with our deepest doubts and fears. Avoiding struggles and pain opens up the possibility for dysfunction, negativity, and neglect. Our mental health is not as neat as our "shoulds" and "shouldn'ts" would have us believe.

I am a therapist passionate about listening to the stories of others. I provide a safe space to tackle difficult issues and heal from the affects of trauma. In the past I found myself in therapy, and when my therapist helped me improve the quality of my life I decided I wanted to sit in his chair one day. I've devoted my career to that pursuit.
You may be seeking therapy due to crippling anxiety, exhausting depression or to lift the weight trauma has placed on you. You may want to learn strategies to improve your focus and move you closer to your goals. Perhaps you want to get closer to loved ones and communicate in a healthier way with those around you. Whatever you bring I am here to guide you through it so you can then guide yourself through life. I'm confident that if we work together you can make changes, feel better and get more out of life.
