Welcome! My name is Gisele THompson, and I am happy that you are here. It means that you need some sort of help or support as you navigate an issue in your life. It can be from childhood, the more recent past or is a current issue with which you are dealing right now. Please know that everyone goes through these things and it is just a matter of finding someone to work through these issues, and challenges with you. I am happy to do that with you.
I have worked with people with issues for over thirty years. Whether it has been children, teens, young adults, adults, individuals, couples, families or seniors who are dealing with life challenges, we have successfully navigated down their path so that they could get to the other side of the challenge. For some, it has been easy without a lot of work to do, just understanding the hows and whys of what is occurring. For others, more work is involved as they deal with relationships of one sort or another. There is always work for the client to do and it is my job and my honor to help you to do these things.
You are not alone. I am here and we will work together in whatever challenge you have that is creating an issue in your life.

Hello, I am glad that you stopped by! I am Alice (XiaoRan), Zhao. As an Asian woman and immigrant, I bring a unique perspective to my clients. I have personally dealt with challenges and barriers to adjusting to different cultures, identities, and societal expectations.
I provide a safe and healing space for you to work on frightening and stressful experiences that happened to you, whether that can be traumatic events or discriminations that you encountered in your life. It is common to experience side effects of trauma where it feels like you have a lot of negative thoughts, difficult emotions, and physical responses.
Trauma can be hard to articulate with words and difficult to describe the memories related to them. In therapy, we can use Brainspotting to process these stressful experiences and symptoms without talking too much about them.
If you are an international student, first-generation immigrant, or international worker. I understand that there are many challenges that we face here in the United States. Such as dealing with the USCIS with different types of visas, getting assimilated with a different culture, and learning a different language. As a counselor, I am not only dedicated to empowering individuals but also to bringing hope to their journey to recovery.

Hello! My name is Carolina, and I am a licensed professional counselor (bilingual/Spanish). My greatest passion is helping others live their best lives because no matter who you are or where you come from, you deserve to live the life you CHOOSE! As a clinician, I help my clients gain the insight, skills, and tools to overcome life challenges and move toward healing and wellness. I started my counseling journey about ten years ago, providing psychoeducation and counseling to children and teens. I worked with families, couples, and individuals. Most of my clinical training has been in autism, multi-systemic therapy, and trauma, working primarily with the Latino population or black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC). In addition, I have extensive experience working with victims of crime and sexual assault and survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence, adjustment disorder/transitions, grief/loss, postpartum depression/anxiety, and loss through miscarriage.
I recently began my journey as a doctoral student in counseling this past summer. I hope to continue growing my practice and making a positive impact in the lives of others. I am also certified in success and life coaching and love incorporating those skills into my work in therapy. I genuinely believe in the power of the mind and how important it is to care for ourselves and our mental health.
I love being with family, reading, watching movies, and relaxing with my pets in my free time. I am a mother, wife, sister, and friend, and I'm so grateful for the people in my life and the opportunity to be part of others' stories and their path to healing.
Please reach out if you are ready to take this step in your life. I am looking forward to working together.

I am a psychotherapist who works with a diverse population of people. My goal is to collaborate with individuals to assist them in achieving their therapy goal(S). My treatment modalities are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and Ericksonian hypnotherapy approaches. Although I used these modalities, I do not use a one size fits all approach. I am a think-out-of-the-box clinician that will often challenge clients to try approaches that may be out of their comfort zone. Some examples of my experience include working with individual clients on developing skills in coping with mental health conditions/diagnosis, life stress, finding balance, and improving self-esteem. Although I use these approaches, my clients tell me it feels like we are having a conversation as opposed to feeling like they are in a therapy session. I have a specialization in working with Veterans, LGBTQI, men, and people of color populations. However, I work with all people who are seeking mental health services. I am licensed in DC (LICSW), VA (LCSW), MD (LCSW-C), and PA (LCSW). I have BS in Human Ecology, BA in Humanities from The Ohio State University, MSW from San Jose State University and Post Masters fellowship in mental health from Stanford University.

Are you struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression or other uncomfortable emotions? Has something happened in your life recently (or even long ago) that is causing you distress, interfering perhaps with your work, school, relationships or otherwise? To begin with, you're not alone! Also, there is help available.
I'm Lynn, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Maryland and Florida. I've been a practicing psychotherapist for the past 25 years. Having worked in private practice, hospitals, mental health centers and hospice, I am familiar and comfortable working with all ages, stages of life, sexual orientation, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I have found the single most important factor in achieving successful outcomes in counseling is the connection between therapist and client. Therefore, I strive to bring my authentic, caring, and non judgmental self to each and every encounter I have with my clients.
My diverse therapeutic background allows me to use multiple modalities in counseling clients. I strive to tailor my counseling techniques to match each individual's needs. Typically, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy help clients grow, gain insights into their behavior(s) as well as others and gain tools and skills in managing difficult emotions or situations in their lives.
Deciding to enter into counseling can be a scary thought for many. If you are thinking about therapy, I encourage you to give yourself the gift of self-care and good mental and emotional health by taking that first step. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

I have a master of science in mental health counseling from Capella University. I am trained to work with individuals, groups, families and couples. I also have extensive knowledge and sensitivity in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar, difficult life transitions, parenting issues, relationship problems, LGBTQIA issues and other life challenges.
My understanding of counseling comes from many different theoretical orientations. I believe that the client or clients have the solutions to their dilemmas within one’s self. Therefore the counselor does not have the “answers” to the client’s “problem” but is a facilitator of the process that helps the client take responsibility and action and come to a resolution. I am here to support and guide you on that journey.

My goal is to help you uncover your strengths, build values-based coping strategies, and embark on a journey of personal growth. In doing this work, I have discovered that the best way to move through emotional pain is to allow yourself to feel it. That can be incredibly overwhelming but with caring and consistent support, it becomes manageable. It is deeply healing to be heard and cared for in those vulnerable states and to understand that by attending to early emotional injuries, a path toward an authentic connection to yourself and others is not only possible, but achievable.

I was born and raised in New York City, the child of preachers. I knew by my teens that I was queer and had a deep interest in all things connected to eastern philosophy and yoga. As a young adult I developed fibromyalgia and quickly learned I could not rely on the standard medical model for healing. That I had to get my life and body back into harmony in order to heal.
Now with over 20 years of experience working with individuals living with depression, anxiety, PTSD and chronic pain, I know that healing is our birthright. And that true healing does not happen solely on one level of our being.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a Mindfulness Based Psychedelic Therapist (MBPT) and a certified Yoga Therapist. The combination of these modalities brings about transformational healing through a process of deep exploration and self-awareness to clear away the mud from the lenses through which we see ourselves, our lives, and the world around us.

My name is Willard and I am a licensed counselor in several states. My practice primarily focuses on helping others deal with ambiguity. Often our thoughts and subsequently what we teach ourselves becomes rigid and fairly black and white. Using a pragmatic and authentic approach to therapy I help others to be okay with things that are beyond their control and work with them to establish themselves as the protagonist in their own story. This is primarily accomplished through conversation and allowing you the client to guide the therapy in the direction it needs to go.
