In today's world, mental health support is needed more than ever. Mental health IS health. It's time to end the stigma and realize it's okay to not be okay. Finding a therapist can be a daunting process but congratulations on taking the first step! As a therapist, I aim to foster an environment that is warm, collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I'm a licensed independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts and earned my Masters in Social Work degree from Boston College. I also have a Bachelor's degree in history. I view the counseling process as an alliance between client and therapist and consider the clients experts of their lives. Within the structure of the therapeutic relationship, clients can access their inner strengths and promote change. I use a combination of modalities that include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. My theoretical approach is based on the belief that clients are in charge of their counseling experience. They will learn the bounds of aspects of their life that they can control and what they cannot. Clients will understand that the therapeutic relationship is a partnership in which they will be expected to put in the effort for homework, be accountable, and present within the counseling alliance. Please note: I am only licensed in Massachusetts. Therefore, I can only see clients in Massachusetts. If you are on college break in another state, or on vacation in another state or country, I can see you once you return to the state. There are other clinicians who are licensed in more than one state that may be more suitable if you are someone who travels outside of the state often.

25 years as a clinical social worker has taught me that finding the right therapist is like trying on a pair of shoes. It has to be the right fit for you to start the journey of self-exploration. I believe in a strength based approach, where we not only explore the issues that brought you to therapy, but we explore how to expand the things that bring you joy and happiness. As Dr. Seuss once said, “life is a great balancing act” and he could not have been more right. My practice focuses on individual therapy for adolescents, and adults. My areas of expertise include depression, mood disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, Trauma, and transitional issues of work, relationships, etc. Client’s describe me as genuine and authentic, supportive, strength based, straight forward, and always keeping hope alive.

No matter how hard we try in life, inevitably we come across unpredictable waters. Sometimes riding the waves of life can be delightful and sometimes it can be soul crushing. Thus, I seek to help high functioning adults and adolescents to "embrace uncertainty and live joyfully through the process." I hope to energize and empower you to become the best version of yourself, especially during times of adversity. I work with you to evaluate your life goals and to gain insight and clarity about factors that might influence your success. I personally have experienced the power of having someone offer support in both the good and bad times of uncertainty, and it would be an absolute honor to support you as you navigate your life!

Hello, welcome to my page. I am a graduate from Westfield State University with a Master's in Social Work. I currently hold a license in individual clinical social work (LICSW). I love the work I do and am inspired by the lives of everyday people. I believe in engaging people in a non-judgmental, empowering, and respectful manner that is dynamic and unique to best fit your lifestyle. I strive to help clients feel valued, gain positive results, and achieve goals using tailored interventions to your needs. My approach I believe that regardless of what brings you to therapy most people are struggling with making peace with their humanness. Based on this principle I take a Humanistic approach to supporting Clients focusing on their existing strengths, challenging limiting self-narratives, and building healthy patterns of behavior. My focus I typically think of my clients as a "person in the environment approach" thinking about their interactions and relationships within the micro-to-macro systems that surround them. I work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed and managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, and childhood trauma. Much of the deeper work done by my clients surrounds themes of perfectionism, childhood attachment wounds, and healing from relational trauma. My communication style I take a conversational tone in therapy trying to ensure I discuss clinical topics in a way that is meaningful, and easily applied to your daily life. My goals for you My approach to goal setting with clients is all about collaborating to identify your focus and needs. You are the expert in you so developing trust is always the first step to achieving any goals you may bring to therapy.

Are you a parent of a high-achieving adolescent or college student who seems to be withdrawing from school and from their friends? COVID created treacherous hurdles that high school and college students had to navigate including lack of socializing with peers and not having adequate support from teachers and inadequate learning opportunities for them to develop into confident students. Competition is now relentless due to 24 hour access to social media and kids just don't have enough down time to unplug. Are you a veteran of any of the conflicts in Afghanistan or Iraq? Are you having trouble integrating into civilian life or are traumatic memories of combat preventing you from having healthy relationships? I get it. I served in the U.S. Army from March of 2009 to September 2014 and deployed to Mosul, Iraq as part of Operation New Dawn. I am passionate about helping my brothers and sisters in arms move their lives forward and to find their new normal. I also enjoy helping professional women with life transitions whether that mean a new job, becoming a parent, infertility issues, or pursuing a new career. Please give me a call. Therapy is a collaborative process and I look forward to helping you on your journey.

Hello! My name is Erica Bradley. I am a LICSW in the state of Massachusetts. I have been a social worker for about 6 years and have worked in some form of human services for 15 years. After getting a bachelor's degree in public health and going to work in a group home for developmentally disabled adults I realized the need for more social workers. The need for people who cared and wanted to listen and help. During graduate school I interned in a hospice, which was both incredibly challenging and rewarding. I then interned in an primary care office providing therapy. It was an amazing experience, but not one I felt I had enough skills to go into full time directly after graduating. Following graduation with my MSW I went to work in the male, State-Prison System. That job not only taught me a lot about the criminal justice system in this country. It taught me so much about human behavior and the mentality of "us versus them". I quickly left that position for one working with young children and families on behavior management. This was followed by time spent working in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospital programs. During my time in both inpatient and outpatient psych I saw the need for individual therapists and the significant shortage, so here we are. All of these roles have taught me the same things. We all struggle to understand our own thoughts, emotions and behaviors. More importantly, until we understand how all of those things impact each other and our reactions to the situations we are in, we will not move forward. We will remain stuck in the same old patterns of anxiety, depression, fear, anger. You name it. When you are ready to show up for yourself I'll be here ready to meet you.

*Currently NOT accepting couples* Hello, my name is William. I have been in the field for nearly 10 years now. I have worked in a variety of positions from Hospital settings to inpatient, to group/couples work, and the standard individual sessions. I am a sex-positive therapist who works with a wide range of issues. I work using a combination of short and long-term goals. However, I only work with 18+ year old clients. I'm not sure what exactly brought you here, but I can guess it has something to do with seeking a positive change. Perhaps this is your first-time trying therapy or you are well versed in the process. No matter the reason or experience level I would like to offer you a safe space to let those feelings out and share them in a nonjudgmental space.
