I was in the United States Marine Corps from 1998-2003 and during this time I learned a great deal about myself and became more culturally diverse. During my third year of service, I was injured at Officers Candidate School and realized that I needed to develop my counseling skills, so I worked with an agency that counseled teens regarding their addiction. I have been in the social services field for the past twenty years and have been licensed for the past 10 years. When I got out of the Marines in 2003, I went home to North Carolina and my father passed away three days later unexpectedly so, I needed a job and I was able to use my previous years working with teens and became a supervisor at Sipes Orchard Home took in unwanted children from parents, Level II and Level IV agencies, and the Department of Children and Families. After being here at this facility for two years I left as they weren't following the Medicaid standards. I left the agency and went to work for The Cognitive Connection as the Prevention Supervisor providing preventive services for teens and was part of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) providing groups to adults. I worked with Cognitive Connection for three years and left to go to Pensacola, Florida because I had heard they were starting a MSW program. I felt hopeful as I knew getting my master’s in social work would change my life forever. After I finished the MSW program I immediately started working for Lakeview Services in Adult Outpatient Community Mental Health and then worked in the Drug Court program. I stayed here for three years until I got a job with the DoD in Oklahoma because my wife was trying to get a federal job, so I moved to support her and my family. While working with the DoD I was able to get my supervision for licensing, created an anger management program for the DoD, and stayed until my LCSW license was finalized in December of 2013. When I came back to Florida I worked for Volunteers of America for a couple of years until a federal job opened at Veterans Affairs in Pensacola, FL, in August of 2016. I have been licensed in Florida for the past 10 years, recently became licensed in Texas and Oklahoma. I have some clients who are in therapy with me for several weeks to several months depending on their individual needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

I am Craig Lampkin and a Native New Yorker. I became a Marriage and Family Therapist because I enjoy processing with individuals and listening to personal journeys, ultimately finding a resolution. I went to a Performing Arts High School in New York City. This experience empowered me to have a unique therapeutic approach. By providing therapy through visual cues and using various therapeutic methods and modalities, individuals can learn new coping, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. I received my BA from Binghamton University in Psychology and MS from Florida State University in Child, Family, and Consumer Sciences, emphasizing Family Relations. I am a Florida Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am the owner of Rothschild Counseling and Consulting, LLC in Tallahassee, Florida. With over 30 years of experience working with children and families. My scope of practice in Marriage and Family Counseling, Domestic Violence and Batterer's Intervention, Child Welfare, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Parenting, Anger Management, Child Development, Individual and Group Counseling. I enjoy going to the gym, movies, socializing with friends/family, and singing in my free time. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I find this a unique challenge for couples and families. When two individuals enter a union, they bring a new relationship between their childhood experience and family life experiences. Marriage and Family Therapy's clinical journey brings together the unique qualities, challenges, and building a new foundation to create a new life together. I specialize in working with children and families in child welfare. I particularly enjoy working with young children and teens since these are some of the most challenging developmental years. Often, clients in this age group experience trauma and distress from systemic and familial patterns of behavior. Parenting is also a challenge. With all the daily stressors parents have in today's fast-paced life resulting In low parental capacities and protective factors. Working in trauma is challenging; when individuals experiencing domestic violence are batterers with low insight into their abuse, substance use has difficulty caring for themselves and others. I've worked with Human Trafficking victims and the LGBTQAI+ community. When individuals' basic needs, shelter, food, and clothing and not met, it's challenging to focus on their mental health challenges. Adolescents are a period of life with specific health and developmental needs and rights. It is also a time to develop knowledge and skills, learn to manage emotions and relationships, acquire attributes and abilities, and transition into adulthood. These are the years that mold our young population to blaze new trails and hand the torch to further our communities. I enjoy working with an individual with Developmental Disabilities. This unique population has an increase in resilience as they learn to understand the environment. I want to process with individuals through rehabilitation supports to ameliorate behavioral challenges. Collaboration with social and paid supports is pinnacle in this population's well-being to ensure stability while increasing coping, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. PLEASE NOTE: TO ENSURE APPOINTMENTS ARE STREAMLINED AND EASY TO MANAGE MY SCHEDULE, ALL APPOINTMENTS ARE ON THE HOUR. PLEASE BE MINDFUL THAT THE DAY AND TIME THAT YOU PICK FOR YOUR INTAKE WILL BE THE SAME DAY AND TIME FOR CONCURRENT THERAPY. IF ANY OTHER TIME SCHEDULED THE SESSION WILL BE CANCELLED. PLEASE TEXT ME FOR CLARIFICATION OR WE CAN DISCUSS THIS DURING THE FIRST SESSION.

Do you feel like you need to work out some of your thoughts and feelings? Are you not sure where to start? Hi! I'm Chelsea and I know that feeling all too well. In my therapy practice, I utilize an egalitarian approach while working with people. This means that the therapist and the client are the experts of their own experience. I believe we each bring preconceptions and values into the relationship and these core values can help strengthen trust. I’m, in general, curious about people and who they are; so I LOVE hearing about interests or hobbies or anything that relates to a person’s individuality. I incorporate harm reduction and motivational interviewing within my work. I believe that people are conduits to change and change is dependent on motivation and readiness. I think it is okay if someone is not ready or is not sure if they are ready; we all start somewhere! I enjoy watching people evolve and grow into their authentic selves; which includes knowing who they are and what they value. I value self-awareness and introspection, for myself, and want to help others on their path to their wellness.

Background: I have two Master degrees; Master of Divinity (M-Div) and Master of Counseling Psychology (MS). I am a U.S. Navy Retired Chaplain, having served 29 years. There are so many messages that you’ve probably lived with growing up that don’t work for you anymore. Messages that make it hard to be present, to get things done, or make you feel like you're in "survival mode". Maybe you’re expected to move on from some hard times – or hard losses. Or maybe you’ve always had to be the “Perfect One”, the “Black Sheep” or the “Silent One” in your family. But there’s so much more to you than your struggles or the labels that have been placed on you. You don't have to live life feeling overwhelmed with negative thoughts, numbness, or expectations every day. You deserve to live authentically. You should speak to a counselor who recognizes that there is tremendous beauty to the person you are already. Your blood is of rich ancestry, heritage, triumphs and identity. I already know you have all the tools you need to live more mindfully. Every now and then we may all just need the support to see it. Let's talk!

Our life path is full of ups and downs with unexpected twists and turns. We learn to develop a way of coping whether it is a positive or negative method to help deal with stressors or adapt to change. However, the majority of the time, we fall back on what we are accustomed to when dealing with a stressful situation or unexpected change; such as becoming confused, frustrated, emotional, withdrawing, angry, combative, or ignoring the situation and hoping the situation will just magically disappear or be resolved. Sometimes we need assistance to develop positive coping skills to deal with an unexpected changes or stressful situations. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to overcome numerous challenges. Besides treating many mental health conditions, I have specialized training in treating anxiety, career, conflict, depression, grief, self-esteem, anger management, behavior issues, stress, trauma, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorder. Hi my name is Amy, and I first want to acknowledge how difficult and scary it feels to begin the process of therapy, either for the first time or starting with a new therapist. I take very seriously the enormous strength that takes and I work very hard to ensure that you feel safe and heard as we begin the therapeutic relationship. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 15 years of experience providing counseling in both inpatient and outpatient centers. I received my Master’s degree in counseling in 2008, from Webster University. I had the privilege of working in an inpatient eating disorder facility for five years and have continued that work in outpatient settings. I have a passion for connecting with teenagers and building a safe place with an adult where they can voice their feelings and experiences without fear of judgement. I also especially enjoy working with young adult women as they navigate their way through the process of beginning adulthood. I have experience with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and general women’s issue. I am especially passionate about working with CPTSD and PTSD. I have received training and supervision in working with trauma as it is a highly specialized field. Trauma survivors need validation, belief, compassion and acceptance first and foremost before a trusting relationship can be established. I have working with women exiting a toxic relationship, having endured narcissistic abuse and/or infidelity (betrayal trauma) which is many times misunderstood by well-intentioned people. My approach is warm, compassionate and highly empathetic as I work to establish a safe environment for healing to take place.

I was recruited into a cult during my freshman year of college. It was the worst thing that ever happened to me, but it was also the best thing that ever happened to me, because it made me who I am today. My cult experience didn't just inspire my choice of career, it also inspired the type of issues that I am passionate about working with: 1. TRAUMA/PTSD. This includes all types of trauma (physical, emotional, psychological) and residual trauma symptoms (OCD, anxiety, depression). 2. SELF and RELATIONSHIP ISSUES, including: a. CODEPENDENCY (i.e. people pleasing, inability to say no, fear of upsetting others, lack of assertiveness, chronic feelings of obligation). b. PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE (manipulative friends, family, romantic partners, controlling relationships, cults, abusive churches, workplace bullying, hazing, sexual coercion, undue influence, toxic people of all kinds). c. IDENTITY CONCERNS (i.e. Narcissism, DID, Former Cult Members, lack of purpose/identity, career and higher education concerns). 3. SLEEP ISSUES: Chronic Insomnia, Nightmare Management, and help with CPAP/Obstructive Sleep Apnea challenges. I also enjoy doing dream interpretation. Do any of these describe you or your situation? If so, I'd love to meet you and talk about how we can work together to overcome your struggles. Feel free to browse through my profile and if you feel so inclined, make an appointment so we can work toward restoring balance to your world again. PLEASE NOTE: Individual adults only (18+).
