It is important to have a strong therapeutic relationship with your therapist and to feel that they are a good match for you. Greetings! I'm Chiquita. Do you want to experience healing ? Do you want to enjoy your life? Do you long to feel loved, connected, and supported? I lead trauma survivors to recovery and teach them to turn their crushing traumas into spiritual gold. There is always a gift in suffering. We will work through the trauma and claim the gifts together. My approach is eclectic because all counseling modalities have something to offer. I use techniques from Dialectical and Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Based Approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and more. My approach includes theoretical underpinnings from Jungian Therapy and Internal Family Systems. I am specially trained in EMDR, play therapy, and Infant Mental Health. Whether you are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, or parenting, I am here to help. I know it is uncomfortable to be vulnerable and opening up can make you feel painfully exposed. The good news is that I am a highly attuned counselor. We will go at your pace. You will be seen, valued, and empowered the whole way. Come work with me. Please note: *At this time, I am only taking new 🖥️VIRTUAL TELEHEALTH🖥️ clients. Whenever possible, please use a computer instead of a phone or tablet. **You will get an email 💌 from Moonglow Counseling inviting you the Simple Practice patient portal to complete forms. Please complete these before your first session. ***Anyone under the age of 18 MUST have a legal guardian present during the first session and accessible for the second and third sessions. This means the guardian MUST be legally permitted to give medical consent and sign forms.📝 ****Any minor 11-years-old or older MUST complete a child or adolescent intake form. The parent MUST complete one too 🚩separately🚩. Most parents don't want the child to hear everything the parent has to say and most children don't want the parent to hear everything they have to say. 🎯The parent and child MUST have different email addresses.🎯 *****If you have questions, you can text me at 772.249.2975.🐝✨🍯

A little bit about me, my name is Amanda Chilleme, I am a Florida and North Carolina Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Master’s Certified Addiction professional. I first hung my shingle in 2013, working with a dual diagnosis population of young adults. For the last 7 years I have been helping my clients identify intrinsically important goals, overcoming obstacles, and build the foundation for a better future. My specialty has been working with men and women struggling with both substance abuse and process or behavioral addictions; helping them to find the pathway to a life unencumbered by the shackles of their past. I also have years of experience treating clients with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorders, bereavement, trauma, attachment, and personality disorders. As a clinician, I utilize a human or client focused approach to counseling. I am not here to tell you the reason you called, or what you need to work on; you made the call, you already know the “what”. As a clinician, it is my job to help you understand the “why”, and eventually, the “how” (to fix it, overcome it, or just plain throw it away). At your first session, it is essentially a two-way interview; as I listen to your story/narrative, and the “rough draft” (as I lovingly call it) begins to unfold, WE as a team determine if 1) I am the right therapist for you, and 2) If you are the right client for me. If we both agree to move forward from the first session, identifying your goals will be your first assignment; giving you the opportunity to do this, helps me to better see how you think and interpret your barriers (i.e., stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, etc.). The second session, we begin to rank these goals, and identify the objectives that will help us to achieve these milestones together. I am your coach, teammate, and cheer leader! We will focus on one goal at a time. Remember “slow and steady wins the race”! As we reach the culmination of one goal, we will move on to the next. Whether you are just starting this process, or you have been in it for a while, I encourage you to plant that mustard seed, and watch just how beautifully you can grow. Schedule an appointment and begin to achieve the best thing of all, the very best version of you!

Hi. I'm Pam and I am a mental health counselor. I enjoy working with people from a holistic approach specifically focused on the mind, body, and spirit connection to effect and attain harmony in one's life. I utilize a combination of techniques such as guided meditations including imagery and visualization, breathwork, and other relaxation techniques coupled with other Cognitive-Behavioral Techniques (CBT) that are effective in managing a multitude of issues. I have found it is especially effective for people coping with depression, stress, and anxiety, difficulties manifesting a positive self-image, and attaining a balanced life. I have been told I "provide action-oriented and goal-directed services that effect change." and that I have "a way of presenting information that is gentle and compassionate." I believe we all need gentle compassion at some time in our lives. I enjoy working with people who are vested in self-exploration to see how they can respond differently to challenges in their lives to effect positive outcomes. "The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his future by merely changing his attitude."-Oprah Winfrey "The measure of intelligence is the ability to change'"-Albert Einstein. I look forward to working WITH you to effect positive change.

I am a bilingual LCSW with over 10 years of experience working in the human services field; focusing on mental health, behavior, and non-profit work. I grew up in Los Angeles, Ca., completed my Master of Social Work at Fordham University in the Bronx, NY., and currently reside in Ocala, Fl. As an LCSW I treat clients from across the lifespan with varying therapeutic needs by applying an integrative approach to treatment. Some of my areas of experience include treating family systems and individuals navigating intergenerational trauma, parents and children dealing with challenging behavior, neurodivergent populations, and individuals with a desire to better understand themselves and the maladaptive behaviors causing distress, mood issues, and anxiety. Areas of specialty include working with young adults navigating life after high school, parenting individuals/partners, and those who identify as Latina women struggling to balance relationships, family, individual needs, and independence. I believe that everyone and their experiences are unique, this is why I meet clients where they are in their life journey, empowering them to find and enhance solutions and coping skills that meet their needs. Although I am trained in CBT and DBT these interventions are only a part of my integrative approach to treatment. Client-centered care remains at the center of treatment; as there is not one single intervention that is best for all. Your treatment is yours, together we will create a treatment plan that empowers you.

I was in the United States Marine Corps from 1998-2003 and during this time I learned a great deal about myself and became more culturally diverse. During my third year of service, I was injured at Officers Candidate School and realized that I needed to develop my counseling skills, so I worked with an agency that counseled teens regarding their addiction. I have been in the social services field for the past twenty years and have been licensed for the past 10 years. When I got out of the Marines in 2003, I went home to North Carolina and my father passed away three days later unexpectedly so, I needed a job and I was able to use my previous years working with teens and became a supervisor at Sipes Orchard Home took in unwanted children from parents, Level II and Level IV agencies, and the Department of Children and Families. After being here at this facility for two years I left as they weren't following the Medicaid standards. I left the agency and went to work for The Cognitive Connection as the Prevention Supervisor providing preventive services for teens and was part of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) providing groups to adults. I worked with Cognitive Connection for three years and left to go to Pensacola, Florida because I had heard they were starting a MSW program. I felt hopeful as I knew getting my master’s in social work would change my life forever. After I finished the MSW program I immediately started working for Lakeview Services in Adult Outpatient Community Mental Health and then worked in the Drug Court program. I stayed here for three years until I got a job with the DoD in Oklahoma because my wife was trying to get a federal job, so I moved to support her and my family. While working with the DoD I was able to get my supervision for licensing, created an anger management program for the DoD, and stayed until my LCSW license was finalized in December of 2013. When I came back to Florida I worked for Volunteers of America for a couple of years until a federal job opened at Veterans Affairs in Pensacola, FL, in August of 2016. I have been licensed in Florida for the past 10 years, recently became licensed in Texas and Oklahoma. I have some clients who are in therapy with me for several weeks to several months depending on their individual needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 20 years of experience working with diverse individuals in the community, private practice, and residential substance abuse treatment. Never in a million years did I ever think providing counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups, would be the career to captivate my heart….but it is! My specialties are working with clients who may be suffering from traumatic incidents, substance abuse, various forms of anxiety (PTSD, stress disorders), depression, self-esteem, and gender identity. Making the decision to receive any form of mental health counseling can be taxing, however, the results are often positive and rewarding. Learning to face your fears in a healthy and appropriate manner is a sign of growth and maturity. It is not an easy task. You will cry, laugh, and maybe feel a little uncomfortable at times. This is just the therapeutic process working to make you emotionally stronger. *Please note that my preference for treatment sessions are individual and group therapy. However, I do provide a limited number of couples or family therapy sessions for special circumstances.
