Hello I hope all is well but if not I'm definitely here to lend my services to help. My name is Christian I believe the therapeutic alliance with my clients is very important component of the treatment process. I work alongside my clients to help them through life difficulties such as major life changes, anxiety, family trauma, and depression. I love to assess what is helping and not helping my clients, then find unique clinical interventions that make real positive change. Small positive changes can lead to big changes. I'm an eclectic when it comes to using different therapy modalities. I like to use therapeutic games at times to foster a safe place for my clients to talk about the root of the issues at hand.

Hey there! I'm Christina, and I am an LPC in CT, PA, and DE. I am passionate about supporting my clients using an integrative, creative, and holistic approach by providing a safe and non-judgmental environment for them, taking into consideration the connection between the mind and body, as well as the environment to create a collaborative, person-centered intervention to build resilience. I incorporate mindfulness, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, person-centered, Logotherapy, and Psychodynamic theory in my therapeutic approach. I am fluent in English, Mandarin, and conversational Malay and Bahasa Indonesia. As an immigrant, a first-generation college student, and a former international student, I focus on supporting and counseling the immigrant population, the young adult population, the international students, and the BIPOC population. I specialize in parenting issues, family conflicts, identity exploration, and addiction. I am influenced by cross-cultural and multicultural philosophy in my counseling approach. I have worked in corporate settings, higher ed organizations, non-profit community addiction clinics, government entities, private practices, and rehab centers throughout my career. At this time, I continue to create and deliver workshops and seminars at different organizations, higher ed, research centers, and my community. Finding balance to thrive in different stages of our lives can be challenging. Even though changes can be exciting and positive, they can also push us outside of our comfort zone and our window of tolerance. It is important for us to learn to have patience and self-compassion for ourselves while we navigate these challenging times and hold ourselves accountable for our decisions. We will work together to find that balance for you so that you can thrive instead of just surviving.

I have been working in the mental health field for the past 9 years and I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations in the field. I have a lot of experiencing working with youth and people who struggle with managing anxiety, depression, stress, family challenges, trauma, and substance use. I have had the opportunity to work with people in different settings like inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, community based treatment, schools , non-profit agencies, and occupational social work. I have had the opportunity to provide individual and group therapy, case management, consultations, and supervision to a diverse populations. I generally practice from the cognitive behavioral and humanistic perspective to help people to evaluate their feelings and their circumstances in relation to the world around them and to help reconstruct their thinking in relation to their challenges and past trauma. Through the humanistic approach, I am able to view the whole person as an individual in relation to their problems and focus on their strengths or positive traits to help empower them to create change in their lives. I also provide solution-focused therapy to help people to strategize how to reach their goals and manage life's challenges in a health manner. I also implement the reality therapy approach that focuses on actively listening to clients and providing helpful feedback to help clients evaluate their emotions and to work towards realistic goals and behavioral changes. At times it takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help. I commend you for taking the first step to make a change. I look forward to working with you.

I believe in meeting people where they are, perpetuating meaningful and supportive connection. My specialty includes working with individuals/families that have experienced emotional and physical abandonment and/or are healing from narcissistic abuse in either parental/romantic/sibling relationships. In addition, I work with individuals that are struggling with the following: mood disorders, personality disorders, intimate partner violence; as well as those that have caused harm in relationships, post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, betrayal trauma, and substance use disorder. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, meaning that I prioritize a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore and process their experiences. I have extensive experience working with individuals that have experienced abuse, neglect, and trauma in addition to the consequences of that trauma.
