I understand that sometimes life can be challenging and can hinder personal growth, happiness, relationships, quality of life, professional success, parenting among other things. You feel like you are spinning your wheels but not going anywhere. You feel exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, apathetic, sad and/or irritated. You may be surprised to know that there are ways to cope with these feelings so you can grab the reigns and get back on that horse! You want to create meaningful changes but aren’t sure where to start. I believe that the catalyst to that change exists within each of us, sometimes we need a little help to find it. I have experience working with older adults, adults, (teens 17+), veterans, active-duty military and their families, college students, EMS personnel, and caregivers in the treatment of mental health and life transition issues, marital issues, interpersonal issues, deployment, military separation, reunification, divorce, pregnancy, work and school issues, parenting and end of life issues (grief/placement). I can also provide case-management services, life coaching and ESA evaluations/letters.

Hello, I am Jennifer. I am a licensed therapist with over 25 years of experience supporting people of all ages through various transitions and challenges. I offer a unique approach to mental health that integrates clinical therapy with moderate physical exercise in the great outdoors. I focus on helping people with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress/burnout, infertility and alcohol misuse while increasing nourishing habits such as exercise, sleep, nutrition, and other practices that reduce symptoms and calm the nervous system. Have you ever wished you could get in-person therapy without having to sit in an office with the therapist? Do you feel too busy to schedule both therapy and exercise into one day and wish the two could be combined? If so, then "walk and talk" could be a good fit for you. I offer the opportunity to receive counseling or coaching while outside in nature and moving your body. Research demonstrates that both exercise and spending time outdoors in sunlight and green spaces provides a reduction in symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, and stress while improving mood overall. My unique "walk and talk" method addresses all three aspects of healing and growth: physical, psychological, and spiritual. Have you found yourself wondering if you are drinking too much and/or too often? Are you tired of experiencing low energy, anxiety, depression, disrupted sleep, sugar cravings, etc. and you wish you had a coach to support you as you navigate a new way of living alcohol free? If you are sober curious, I am here to help!

Whole-Hearted Therapy Centered on Genuine Connection. Ever had therapy that feels like it drags on without any results? Research shows the Power of Connection drives roughly 60% of Therapeutic Success. My Compassionate Therapy Style focuses on Building Bridges of Trust and cultivating a meaningful connection with positive outcomes. So, how do you find the best therapist for you? That's a great question. And it's one that most people struggle with answering whether it's their first or umpteenth search. Is it the therapist him/herself, their personality, theoretical approach, or specialty? While all these factors are important, it shouldn't be your responsibility to find the best clinician; rather it's the clinician's responsibility to become the best therapist for you. I also have a particular interest in using holistic practices to help create great results for depression & anxiety disorders as well as trauma/PTSD and other mental/behavioral conditions. These include EFT Tapping, breathing/mindfulness/meditation, and Amino Acids, etc. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Addiction Counselor with nearly nine years of extensive professional experience in both mental health and addiction. Further, I have a personal background in overcoming addictions as well as several mental health and learning disabilities. Whether you're seeking help to overcome addiction, mental health conditions or career counseling, I've dedicated my professional life to becoming YOUR BEST clinician. Transform Your Mental Health Story: Break Free from disheartening therapy experiences with my Empathetic Approach. Ready for a change? Let’s connect for a video conference consultation. Have you ever asked yourself, "why don't I feel good about myself and my choices in life?" I want to help you explore those feelings and get to the root cause so we can reveal the parts of you that feel alive and whole again. Do you remember the hopes and dreams you had as a child? What happened to those dreams? It could be life events or circumstances, some that were out of your control and some that you made consciously or unconsciously. If you have experienced trauma, sexual trauma, this can contribute to your mental, physical, and emotional struggles. Sexual trauma is not easy to discuss, as it is a taboo topic, and you may not find you can share your story with your friends and family. Secrecy is part of the toxic shame that often leads to issues with self-esteem, relationships, intimacy, and other behavioral problems. Every person has the answers within themselves to reveal the shiny pearl in the bed of a sandy oyster. I can help you if you are ready to do the work of personal growth and healing.

Hello, and Thank You for reading my profile! My name is Sharlene Hanaway. I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for many years. During that time, I have worked with many clients who have been deeply challenged by their life circumstances and everyday issues. My clients have tried many different ways to help themselves but need fresh eyes and someone who can help them change their perspectives about the things they can change and let go of the things they can not change. It is a collaborative relationship where we find what works for you! I welcome you to work with me, so you can move on from the issues that are getting in the way of your living the life you want. However, at this time, I am no longer accepting clients for Couple Therapy.

I am a curious, authentic, and a very human therapist. I love working with people who want to do the work. I am here to provide a safe space that will foster vulnerability and growth. Therapy is so hard sometimes. I am here to make that pill a little easier to swallow. We fall into times where we feel stuck, don't have sufficient self-love, or just have ran out of hope. I am here to support you in getting unstuck, changing your perspective, increasing your self-love, and remind you that there is hope. Just because we don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, it doesn't mean it's not there. In the nature of being authentic: If you're looking for a "cookie-cutter therapist", I am not the one. If you are looking for heavy homework/worksheets, I am not the one. I am very human. At times, I cuss. Because, at times, life just fucking sucks. I am very open to feedback: I have the mental health portion of my job down, but you are the expert in you.

Hi there! I'm Nancy, and I am so excited to share a bit about myself with you! Growing up, I experienced some pretty challenging situations within my family, and as a result, I spent much of my childhood in the foster care system and moving from place to place never being able to call a place my home. These experiences gave me a unique perspective on the importance of early intervention and prevention in the mental health field. It was through my experience as a survivor, and my own personal struggles that I discovered my passion for helping others. As a mental health professional, I've had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals, but one experience that stands out to me the most is that of my younger brother. Despite struggling with reading and writing, he was consistently overlooked and eventually turned to drugs, never finishing high school. It's a heartbreaking situation, and I often wonder what could have been different if someone had taken the time to help him earlier. Unfortunately, my brother now suffers from bipolar disorder and experiences panic attacks due to the overwhelming sense of hopelessness and loss he feels. It's because of him that I've dedicated my career to helping others before they reach that point of no return. The point where there is nothing more than resignation and accepting what is than what one could become. Overall, I'm incredibly passionate about what I do and am eager to continue making a positive impact on the lives of children, youth, and families in need. I'm excited about the opportunity to get to know you and be of support to you in your toughest moments in life. Warmly, Nancy Gonzalez-McKenzie

Hi, I’m Valerie Harris-Reamer. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Do you turn to food, alcohol, or drugs to deal with feeling lonely or rejected, or to cope with added stress and anxiety? Have you lost the joyful feelings that you used to have in life? Do you feel fear-stricken, even in the “comfort” of your own home? Do you feel like there are so many things to manage and your forever-growing “to-do list” leaves you feeling completely overwhelmed? I work with women who have experienced tough stuff in their childhood and feel like they have lost their way. Sometimes we turn to food, alcohol, and drugs or, we withdraw from friends and family, just to cope. Does this sound like you? These coping skills affecting our lives as adults often stem from hurts that happened during childhood and were never healed. My goal is to help you stop engaging in patterns that started from what you learned as a way of survival. You will get encouragement and a toolbox of practical actions you need to find your way to living your best life. I believe that you are worthy of love and care. I believe that therapy should address the whole person – their mind, body, and spirit. I believe that loving and accepting ourselves for who we are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do. Start making yourself a priority and begin enjoying your life. Let's do this!

For those who struggle with decision-regret and anxiety around making the perfect choice, picking a therapist is three steps into the therapy already - if you're here reading this and that's you, I commend you as your therapy has already begun. Anxious and seemingly uncontrollable thoughts, "imposter syndrome", endless struggles to be perfect, only to be met with guilt and regret; all uncomfortable things that we humans try to avoid and control, yet all of that avoiding and controlling just doesn't seem to do any good. You're here to learn better ways to manage these experiences, and that's where I can help. I leverage 14 years of clinical experience as an adjunct professor in clinical social work and as a therapist in the public and private sectors in Canada, the US and Australia to assist my clients. I am a well traveled surfer, climber, author, entrepenuer, and musician and I enjoy spending time in my backyard that is the central coast of California, exploring all that it has to offer.

Hi, I’m Rachel! Do you ever wonder why your kids struggle so much in school, have a hard time making/keeping friends, or have a difficult time following the same daily routines that are expected of them every day? Have you received multiple evaluations of them, but still feel lost in how to parent them? I get it. I’m not only an Autism and ADHD Specialist for both kids and adults ages 5-65yo, but I’m also a mom of neurodivergent kiddos. I work with children/teens/adults with varying presentations, who almost always have some level of anxiety, depression, trauma etc. I’m here to help support you and focus on what matters most. I also work with children and teens who do not have neurodivergent brains, but rather may have behavioral difficulties at home/school; issues with school refusal, significant degrees of anxiety and/or depression, overuse of social media and struggle in their parent/child relationships. I provide both individual and family therapy and believe that rapport with my clients and understanding their personal goals is what will make the most progress. I also specialize in life transitions, assisting teens in moving toward independence and the next steps in young adulthood. This includes career counseling, which I provide to adults of all ages.

Do you feel stuck in some part of your life and want to feel more confident, at ease, and connected? I am here to help you to break through anxiety, symptoms of depression, personal and generational trauma, and other challenges you might be encountering that make it hard to be true to yourself or cause relationship issues. In therapy, we will work collaboratively to help you reach your goals. Whatever you are struggling with, I will provide a safe, judgment-free space in which you can comfortably be yourself. I will guide you in finding harmony and fulfillment so that you can feel understood, find a sense of belonging, and have healthy relationships.

Throughout my professional career, I spent 10 successful years working in the banking industry and another 10 years in pharmaceutical sales, exceeding in various sales and managerial positions. However, I was constantly drawn to psychology and eager to study the relationship between conscious and unconscious phenomena and the role of feelings and thoughts. Therefore, I was keen to make a career change to becoming a psychotherapist. To pursue my goal, I enrolled in a master's degree program in psychology, which required a significant time commitment. I often spent long hours in the evenings and on weekends reading textbooks, writing papers, and preparing for exams. Balancing my studies with my full-time job was challenging, but I was determined to succeed.
