Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is currently licensed in Arizona and South Dakota. I have worked with a variety of men, women, and adolescents over the last ten years. My intent is to always meet people exactly where they are at and help them overcome the challenges that life has given them. I truly believe that every person who I work with has a unique set of strengths, and by using those strengths the person has the ability within themselves to persevere.

I've been a licensed psychologist since 1980. I have since acquired a wealth of education, training, and experience which I look forward to utilizing for the benefit of my Grow Therapy clients. During my US Air Force career, I was the Director of Biofeedback and Stress Management at three USAF medical centers. This included doing psychological assessments for human reliability certification, commander-directed psychological evaluations, providing individual and group direct care at the MH Clinics, and conducting many psycho-educational/treatment groups in stress management, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and the treatment of psychophysiological symptoms such as headache, IBS, asthma, and more. Since retiring from the Air Force in 1998, I was a consultant in human resources for two years and then started practicing privately as an MH provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and numerous insurance companies. Since March 2018, I've practiced via Telehealth only. I am a BCIA Board Certified practitioner of Biofeedback and Neurofeedback, hold a Certificate of Professional Qualification as a Psychologist from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards and am a member of several professional organizations. As a GrowTherapy provider, I will provide virtual treatment utilizing Interactive Teletherapy for Stress Reduction (IT-SR). IT-SR is a treatment format I developed to enable my clients to improve their self-regulation skills which are essential to restore homeostasis. Homeostasis is the optimal or baseline state of mind-body balance wherein optimal functionality is supported. Most mental and physical health problems that occur are developed when there has been a disruption of our mind-body balance. I assist my clients in resolving their MH issues and re-establishing their optimal functioning, or mind-body balance, with Cognitive-behavioral techniques, EMDR, EFT, assertiveness training, talk therapy, and neuromodulation with home training devices. I use questionnaires and supplement my therapy with written educational materials as appropriate.

I am a seasoned, supportive, and well experienced licensed mental health therapist, having worked in private practice for many years in AZ. I am an expert listener, and enjoy working with adults 18-older ages who are experiencing difficult symptoms associated with past or present life challenges that require intervention and processing in ways that may restore a greater life balance and well being.
