Hey hey! My name is Isabella Patterson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina. This thing called life is not an easy thing to navigate, and it is my pleasure to work with people from all walks of life to manage emotions and relationships. My goal is to lend a compassionate hand to guide you through coping with the past and promoting healing for the future to achieve the best version of yourself. I graduated with my undergraduate and Masters degree in Social Work from North Carolina State University. I serve adults coping with histories of trauma, family conflict, and confidence/esteem issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will go over introductions, get comfortable, and begin to dive into background history of you and your experiences. We will then use that information to establish goals and a plan to achieve them!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that I am able to bring a light side to therapy through a sense of humor and drawing on the strengths you already have. My experience working with such diverse populations has helped me to identify root causes of issues, then apply strategies to foster a healthier and more fulfilling present and future for you.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am passionate about partnering with my clients to give you a safe and compassionate hand toward growth and resiliency. In trauma therapy, it is my goal to guide you through coping with the past while promoting healing for the future. I have experience experience facilitating TF-CBT both in groups and individually with a variety of ages, from children to older adults.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Experiencing intense emotions is a difficult and exhausting way of living. I utilize DBT as a method to process (and reduce) intense emotions through building skills around emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have certifications in facilitating CBT, and utilize this approach to analyze the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT can be applied to assist in navigating challenging life events, thought disorders, and confidence and esteem issues.
