I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adult individuals with attachment and developmental trauma, PTSD recent traumatic events, and anxiety using mind-body approaches and attachment informed EMDR via telehealth. I've noticed that a lot of people with trauma and anxiety seem to benefit from using attachment-informed EMDR and parts work approaches that help you get to know the inner parts of yourself. Using a combination of these approaches can help with resolving inner conflict, connecting that sense of the "inner child" to healing and resources, and increasing inner strength and a sense of agency in your life decisions. I will use guided imagery in therapy and like to focus on the mind and body connection. I am also a big fan of weaving in values and mindfulness-based cognitive approaches from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I provide a safe, accepting space so that you will feel comfortable sharing your concerns with me at your own pace and to whatever depth you are comfortable with. Through hearing your story, I will start to get a picture of what your challenges are and what approaches I bring that can help. We will establish what goals you would like to see happen with therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I bring an open, empathic non-judgmental presence to therapy. People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can sit with people at their worst and be present with them when they are in that space. I am generally quiet but I focus on being attuned, understanding how the pieces fit, and bringing you back to safety.

EMDR

I've noticed that a lot of people with trauma and anxiety seem to benefit from using attachment informed EMDR and parts work approaches that help you get to know the inner parts of your self.

Attachment-based

Understanding attachment patterns and how we form relationships with others and within ourselves can help with connecting old feelings of a wounded "inner child" with peace and healing.
