As the founder of Truly Her Counseling, LLC, Allana Johnson has over 12 years of experience as Licensed Professional Counselor, and is dedicated to helping you live a fulfilling and empowered life. During your initial appointment, we will conduct an intake assessment to better understand your needs, establish treatment goals, and address any questions you may have about the therapy process. The therapy experience is highly individualized, tailored to your unique circumstances and objectives. Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as a key therapeutic modality to support individuals who have experienced trauma in their journey towards healing and recovery. CPT is a specialized approach designed to address the profound impact of trauma on mental and emotional well-being. CPT offers a structured and evidence-based framework to help clients process and make sense of traumatic experiences, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the often complex thoughts and emotions that accompany them. I work closely with my clients to create a safe and supportive environment where they can explore and confront the distressing memories and beliefs associated with their trauma. Through the CPT process, I guide clients in identifying and challenging maladaptive thought patterns that can keep them trapped in cycles of distress and avoidance.
