Hello, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is patient, attentive, and empathic to my clients. I have over 10 years of experience working within the senior and adult mental health community. I foster a therapeutic environment where adults, seniors, and caregivers feel understood, valued, and supported in their unique life circumstances. I have a Master's of Social Work from the University of South Carolina.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I invite you to discuss the reasons you sought therapy, the presenting problems, and any specific goals or expectations you may have. I like to learn more about your background, including personal history, family dynamics, current living situation, work or school environment, and any previous experiences with therapy or mental health treatment. This helps me understand your needs and how I can help you in treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I foster a therapeutic environment where women, seniors and caregivers can feel understood, valued, and supported in their unique life circumstances.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I employ cognitive-behavioral techniques to empower clients to develop coping strategies, enhance emotional well-being, and regain control over their lives.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I tailor interventions to the unique needs and preferences the client, and encourage an ongoing process of self-discovery and growth.

Grief Therapy

Grief therapy equips individuals with practical coping skills to manage the intensity of their emotions and navigate the challenges of daily life while grieving. These strategies may include relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices, journaling, and self-care activities.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

When working with Women and older adults I emphasize strengths, resilience, and finding practical solutions to current issues.
