Are you feeling anxious or more stressed lately? Are you feeling stuck? Do you have a relationship issue that you want to work on? Therapy can help (I know how that sounds but it's true). My clients and I work collaboratively on relationship issues, LGBTQIA+ topics, anxiety, coping mechanisms, depression and Trauma. I often work with individuals who aren't happy with how their life is currently going &/or want to embrace a healthier version of themselves. A little about me. Besides being a LCSW-PA, I have a background in Human Sexuality Education (M.Ed) which I draw upon for best practices/expertise in supporting clients and their relationships. I am a sex-positive clinician (prioritizing consent and safety). You'll find I am down to earth, empathetic, and a great listener! If you're interested in working together please contact to schedule a free (brief) consultation.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. I like to highlight expectations early to assist clients in preparing for the valuable clinical work.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

-Empathetic -Authentic -Easy to talk too -Knowledge & insight related to Human Sexuality topics -Knowledge & insight related to Trauma & Trauma-work (TF-CBT model & Exposure therapy) -Compassionate stance to clinical work -Holistic approach of multiple Therapeutic modalities

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've been using CBT with clients and families for over 7 years. It’s helped a multitude of clients challenge/address reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. Typically CBT is used to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change (&/or understand/accept) your thinking patterns, which can help you lead a less anxious and stressed life. Experience using CBT with work with couples as well as individual sessions with clients.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have 5+ years experience using Trauma-focused Cognitive behavioral therapy with clients whom have experienced various traumas, including childhood abuse (including physical, emotional, sexual, etc.). Because Trauma is everywhere and impacts individuals in different ways, as a clinician I apply a trauma-informed lens & approaches as often as possible with my clinical work. The TF-CBT model is an evidence-based practice. Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) helps people who may be experiencing post-traumatic stress after a traumatic event to return to a healthy state.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I utilize Emotionally focused therapy in approaches with clients typically on goals in restructuring the emotional bond between couples, partners, loved-ones, etc. Emotion is an important means of communication and valuable to be explored within therapy in general but also with relationships: feelings of betrayal, trust issues, intimacy issues, anger, rejection, etc. Understanding patterns of behavior can be useful to making changes which then can assist changing how a partner(s) experience of the relationship. Connection is key for me, I utilize approaches in transparent and compassionate ways with my clients.

Motivational Interviewing

I've been using Motivational interviewing (MI) with clients for 5+ years. I apply MI techniques throughout my clinical work to assist clients exploring their motivations and any barriers to goals being achieved. Find value in working with couples as well as individual clients using MI. Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a method of therapy that works to engage the motivation of clients to change their behavior. Clients are encouraged to explore and confront their ambivalence.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling is a type of counseling for intimate partners. It addresses conflicts between the partners, is often short-term, and focuses on specific problems. Other goals of couples counseling are improving communication and interactions and strengthening relationships.
