Hey there! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in "The Big Apple" AKA New York. I received my Masters from New York University (NYU) and have been practicing for 4 years! As a psychotherapist, I specialize in helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, anger management, motivation, self-esteem, depression, and confidence. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, using empathy, active listening, and insightful questioning to deepen their self-understanding. My holistic approach combines various modalities such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, narrative therapy, play/art therapy, and MBCT to tailor treatment plans to each client's unique needs. I empower clients to identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors, set goals, develop coping skills, and build resilience. Beyond therapy sessions, I provide psychoeducation, resources, and support to help clients navigate daily life more effectively. Taking the first step toward therapy can be daunting, and I commend clients for their courage in seeking support!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where you will have the opportunity to share concerns, goals, and reasons for seeking therapy. We'll begin by discussing confidentiality and the therapeutic process, ensuring safety and comfort expressing yourself. We'll explore open-ended questions to gain a comprehensive understanding of background, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve in therapy. Collaboratively establish goals and outline a treatment plan tailored to you needs and preferences. Additionally, introducing therapeutic techniques or interventions that will be individualized. Overall, the first session serves as an opportunity to build rapport, gain clarity about the therapeutic process, and feel empowered to embark on their journey towards healing and growth.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, my greatest strengths lie in my ability to empathize deeply with my clients, creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where they feel truly heard and understood. I am skilled at active listening, picking up on nuances in their verbal and nonverbal communication, which allows me to offer insightful reflections and ask meaningful questions that facilitate self-discovery and growth. I am adaptable and flexible in my approach, drawing from a diverse range of therapeutic modalities and techniques to meet the unique needs of each client. My commitment to ongoing professional development ensures that I stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the field, allowing me to provide evidence-based interventions that yield positive outcomes. Above all, my genuine compassion and dedication to supporting my clients through their struggles and triumphs make me a trusted ally in their journey towards healing and personal transformation.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

By incorporating minfulness-based therapy we are able to stay grounded, present, and focus on the current moment rather than rumination, past, and future orientation. That allows us to focus on the present moment to increase self awareness.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Child and parent psychotherapy to assist children in reducing their ineffective behaviors, acquiring skills to manage and adapt to the world around them.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Increasing self awareness of ineffective thought patterns, challenging the thought that will change the behavior.

Narrative

By narrating stories that we have not shared since they occured, it allows for the client to create a new perspective on an old core belief/thinking pattern.
