Hi! My name is Jamie Ellis and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I received my masters in social work from Florida State University. I have been practicing mental health counseling for 10 plus years in all types of setting from inpatient psych to outpatient individual therapy. I love to help people. I love to use my extensive knowledge to encourage and help people heal. I have had experience with all ages but perfer to work with adults 18 years older.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will be getting to know each other. I will be asking a whole lot of questions to help me get a full picture of who you are and what it is that you would like to work on. We will be setting goals for treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in the mental health field for 10 plus years with all types of clients, I have learned to tailor my approach to custom fit the client. My greatest strength in this field is to help you get to root of what it is that you need and help you uncover the solutions for that need.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The connection between what we think and feel does affect how we behave. I utilize this connection to restructure the thinking to help us feel and behave in a way that better aligns with how we want to feel, think and act.

Mind-body approach

The connection between our bodies and minds is a power thing. I utilize ways to help you slow down the mind and connect with the body to have better outcomes.

Positive Psychology

Finding the good in the everyday is essential to healing. Positive Psychology is a way of focusing on the successes in our lives to help with the healing process.
