My name is Cory Sullivan, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master's in Social Work degree from the University of Southern California. I have a passion for helping people find their new normal after traumatic injuries and/or chronic illness and have first-hand experience with the grief, and loss of identity that comes with life after a traumatic injury. I focus on letting my clients know that they are not in this alone, despite what their irrational thoughts tell them. I collaborate with clients and let them know that we are on this journey together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I feel that I take my time to build rapport in order to understand the whole client. I believe we are an accumulation of experiences across our lifespan and I strive to utilize strength-based skills that have helped you conquer old foes while incorporating new skills and strategies to overcome present obstacles.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed, Solution Focused, Strength-Based Approach, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Harm Reduction.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel that my biggest strength is being personable, helping people identify their own strengths and establishing a life worth living, helping others live a new normal after an injury that caused a permanent disability, and picking up on nonverbal cues that sometimes tell the true feelings of a client and their individual experience.
