What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will briefly get to know one another. We will explore the needs of the client and develop a treatment plan tailored to their therapeutic goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a dynamic and evidence-based therapeutic approach aimed at fostering positive change and enhancing overall well-being. CBT operates on the principle that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, influencing our perception of the world and ourselves. Together, we collaboratively explore and identify patterns of thinking that may contribute to emotional distress or problematic behaviors. Through targeted interventions and practical strategies, I assist clients in challenging and reframing negative thought patterns, fostering healthier perspectives and coping mechanisms. This structured and goal-oriented approach empowers clients to develop practical skills, gain insight into their thought processes, and ultimately achieve lasting positive change in their lives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my practice, I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide a comprehensive and effective approach to addressing emotional challenges and promoting meaningful life changes. DBT is centered around the dialectic between acceptance and change, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging and validating current experiences while also working towards positive transformation. Together, we focus on developing specific skills in mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. These skills empower clients to navigate difficult situations, manage intense emotions, and cultivate healthier relationships. By incorporating DBT's practical tools and strategies, our collaborative efforts aim to enhance emotional resilience, foster a sense of balance, and promote a more fulfilling and adaptive way of living.

Motivational Interviewing

In my therapeutic approach, I employ Motivational Interviewing (MI) to facilitate positive behavioral changes and enhance motivation for personal growth. MI is a client-centered technique that focuses on exploring and resolving ambivalence about change. Together, we engage in a collaborative and empathetic conversation, where I actively listen and help you articulate your own goals and values. Through reflective questioning and feedback, I work to strengthen your intrinsic motivation and build confidence in your ability to make positive changes. MI recognizes that ambivalence is a normal part of the change process, and by addressing it openly, we can develop a plan that aligns with your values, fostering a sense of empowerment and commitment to the change you seek.

Strength-Based

In my practice, I employ Strength-Based Therapy to harness and amplify your innate strengths, resilience, and resources. Rather than focusing solely on problems, we explore your positive qualities, skills, and past successes. By recognizing and building upon these strengths, we work collaboratively to develop effective coping mechanisms and strategies to navigate challenges. This approach fosters a positive and empowering therapeutic environment, enhancing your self-esteem and confidence. Through highlighting your existing capacities, we can create a foundation for personal growth, emphasizing your ability to overcome obstacles and achieve meaningful and lasting change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my therapeutic practice, I implement Person-Centered Therapy to create a warm and non-judgmental space where you can explore and express your thoughts and feelings freely. Central to this approach is the belief in your inherent capacity for self-discovery and personal growth. I prioritize empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine understanding to help you feel accepted and valued. Together, we collaboratively identify your goals and work towards fostering a deeper understanding of yourself. By focusing on your unique experiences and perspectives, Person-Centered Therapy aims to facilitate a journey of self-exploration, self-acceptance, and the development of a more authentic and fulfilling life.
