Hi everyone! Are you a soon to be mother or father? Or perhaps you have not been feeling like yourself since the birth of your child. If so, I would love to support you in managing all things birth related. I have a passion for working with birthing individuals and their partners before, during, and after birth. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have specialized training in maternal and paternal mental health and couples counseling. I help my clients regain agency over their life and experience joy again. Let's work together as you navigate life's ups and downs, because you deserve to receive the support you need.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During our initial session we will get to know one another in order to build a strong therapeutic relationship. The time we spend in session is yours, as you identify your challenges and goals for therapy, I will tailor an individualized plan that we'll work towards together throughout our sessions. Any questions or concerns you may have, I am happy to answer them as I believe transparency is a key component to effective treatment.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I understand that every person is different, which allows me to be open and non-judgmental as I learn your world. With a client- centered perspective I honor that the client is the expert on themselves. I pride myself in being authentic, which provides the space for my clients to show up as themselves openly and honestly without the fear or criticism. Life is tough enough, I bring an easy- going nature into sessions to ease tension when navigating difficult concerns.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
I specifically focus my work with couples and clients during the perinatal period (concerns that arise from the desire to conceive through the postpartum period) for birthing individuals and their partners. Clients seeking my support present with pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth trauma, fertility challenges, and postpartum experiences. Couples who are in need of support navigating conflict management, sex and intimacy challenges, emotional intimacy, distributing parenting tasks, and infidelity.
