I am a Clinical Licensed Social Worker in Florida and Certified LIfe Coach. I have a Master in Counseling , School Psychology, and Social Work.. I am a retired teacher and guidance counselor from New York and a Certified Life Coach. A have also completed Addca's ADHD training. I received my license as a Clinical Social Worker from the state of Florida. I work with individuals diagnosed with ADHD of all ages ,and their parents. By utilizing positive psychology and strength based methods I help clients deal with self esteem, time management, organizational skills, executive function, and anxiety issues. I also work with clients who are experiencing stress and self esteem issues. During our sessions we work together to develop strategies that will allow them to work towards their goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, after our introductions, we will discuss what the client would like to accomplish during our sessions. They will describe specific goals that they would like to achieve in the near future and what their life would be like when they achieve their goals, especially how they will feel. We will then discuss what they have to do to accomplish these goals, breaking down these actions into specific steps. They will tell me about several accomplishments, especially those that they are most proud of . I will then ask them to describe their strengths, what they are good at and what energizes them. At the end of the session we will develop a plan for their week that will lead them closer to their goals and we will discuss how committed they are to completing these tasks. At the end of each session, we will discuss if they feel the session helped them in their journey, and talk about anything else that I can do to help them. We will also discuss gratitude and other positive feelings that I would like them to pays special attention to during the week.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Positive Psychology

I have found by utilizing the tenants of Positive Psychology and Strength Based Therapies, the client is enabled to use their strengths to achieve their goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past several years. It’s helped clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
