Hi, I'm Mali. Do you feel you cannot continue your life as it is? Maybe change is necessary because you have hit rock bottom? Or are you simply seeking someone to help you navigate and discuss your thoughts and emotions? No matter what your situation, if you're motivated and think we could work well together, I'd be happy to assist you in achieving your goals and becoming a better version of yourself. My commitment is to create a safe space for you to talk about your thoughts and feelings. I can empower women who may feel stuck in their childhood traumas, past toxic relationships, or current difficult situations. I use proven methods such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), as well as family theories to assist you on your journey. I hold two master’s degrees; one in clinical psychology from Iran and one in marriage and family therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the State of TX.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial 1 to 3 sessions, my primary focus will be on gathering information about the specific issue that led you to seek help. Following this, we will transition into the active phase of therapy, which can occasionally feel overwhelming. At this stage, I anticipate that you will begin to notice initial changes, likely starting with your behavior and subsequently your emotional state. With time, things will become clearer, helping you figure out what you should accept and what you can alter. You'll also discover ways to make these changes, ultimately breaking free from the cycle that has been holding you back.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I'm trained in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and depression. I'm also skilled in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for helping people with borderline personality disorder and I'm certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for treating PTSD. Thanks to my background in couples and family counseling, I always keep family dynamics in mind when working with clients.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have previously assisted clients with challenges in a range of difficulties, however there are areas where my knowledge is not that extensive. I have expertise in the following domains: ADHD, anger management, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, coping skills, couples counseling, family conflicts, borderline personality disorder, suicidal ideation, self-esteem, trauma, and PTSD. However, I may not be the most suitable choice if you require assistance with the following issues: addiction, career counseling, child and adolescent counseling, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, grief counseling, LGBTQ concerns, learning disabilities, autism, men's issues, OCD, or school-related challenges.
