I’m a Northeast Ohio clinical systemic therapist committed to helping individuals, couples and families learn how to heal and deal with past experiences, hurt, and uncover/ resolve underlying issues and build healthier relationships. My work focuses on targeting ineffective mental, emotional, and behavioral habits, negative thinking patterns and beliefs that get in the way of daily functioning. I am excited to empower clients to build the life and relationships they want and deserve. I believe in taking a collaborative cognitive, dialectical, behavioral, and systemic approach to helping clients to build health patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, self assurance and confidence in achieving their goals. I’m passionate about transforming mindsets, building self-awareness and improving relationships for individuals, couples and families.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we build rapport, gather history as it pertains to why you seek therapy and set therapy goals and a treatment plan that you are comfortable with.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths are my honesty, humor, ability to remain non-judgemental, am family oriented, and have a strong faith/ spiritual connection. I am a strong CBT therapist who believes in the mind, emotion, behavior connection and see patterns and habits as means to sustain and maintain life/ exists rather than problems. This helps clients to build self-awareness and adopt positive changes that improve their quality of life, decrease and even eliminate mental and emotional symptoms and improve relationships.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My clients are individuals how are looking to change the way they think, feel and experience life more abundantly. I work well with self-starters, the strong friend type, those struggling with on-off/ relationships, situationships, loneliness, depression and anxiety. I also work well with parents and caregivers looking to build parenting skills and a better understanding of their children and young adults.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely-used therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. When combined with attachment and trauma-based therapies, CBT can help individuals and families address the impact of past traumatic experiences on their relationships and overall well-being. By exploring attachment styles and working through trauma-related issues, CBT can assist clients and families in developing healthier coping strategies, improving communication, and fostering secure and supportive relationships. This integrated approach helps my therapeutic aim with clients to promote healing, resilience, and lasting positive change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a therapeutic approach commonly used with clients who struggle with emotional regulation and self-destructive behaviors. DBT emphasizes teaching individuals skills in four main areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. In the context of families, DBT can be used to improve communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. I also use DBT to enhance understanding and acceptance for individuals, couples, and families, promoting healthier interactions and coping mechanisms for clients and their families.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) is a specialized approach that focuses on strengthening the emotional bond between partners in a relationship. It helps clients and families understand and express their emotions in a safe and supportive environment. EFT aims to help couples and families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and develop a secure attachment. By fostering emotional connection and empathy, EFT can assist clients and families in creating healthier and more fulfilling relationships.

Structural Family Therapy

Structural family therapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on understanding and addressing the patterns and dynamics within a family system. It aims to identify and modify the family structure to promote healthier interactions and functioning. I observe family interactions, provide guidance on restructuring roles and boundaries, and facilitate communication to improve family relationships and resolve conflicts. my goal is to create positive changes within the family system to enhance overall well-being and promote healthier family functioning.
