Hi! I'm a psychotherapist practicing in the LA area for 15 years. I went back to school when my youngest was in kindergarten to get my LMFT license. I meet clients where they are emotionally and help them discover what is getting in the way of them living a more successful and happy life. I use deep listening and a sense of humor to fully support those i work with.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will get to know each other and i will strive to understand how best to connect with you. We will go over a little of your past and where you are right now. I will probably ask "what brings you in today?" I am happy to answer any questions you may have. I will help you relax and feel comfortable with the therapy process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked for 15 years with many types of people but one thing always guides me - deep listening and working to understand what we can do to further strengthen the client. Sometimes it feels as if we are just walking along together for a while trying to get to the heart of the issues. I have many tools in my toolbelt to meet you where you are.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My work is from a positive perspective - acceptance, encouragement, and a deep understanding of behaviors and reasons behind the behaviors. I believe change only comes after fully accepting the self. We will seek to understand and accept the past in order to move into a more fully realized future.

Gender-affirming therapy

i am passionate about supporting and fully advocating persons in the process of understanding and affirming gender. I am a longtime LGBTQIA ally and have written letters in support of persons seeking gender affirming surgeries.

Feminist

As a long time feminist I will support and encourage you to advocate for yourself at home and in the workplace.
