Greetings! I am a professionally licensed counselor for 9 years with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, and couples therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings including community, in-home or home based counseling, clinic, and schools. I earned my bachelors in Psychology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). I earned my Masters in Community Counseling and Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University. I am currently an Assistant Professor at Bowie State University.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session you can expect us learning about each other, and discussing the goals you desire to obtain from counseling.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in the field and currently teaching about the profession I am up to date on the latest research and approaches to help support you.

My treatment methods

Relational

I believe that we interact in this world through relational collaboration. This is how I approach the interventions that we will do together.

EMDR

I am currently in training and can work with clients through EMDR.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I approach my clients by seeing all of their identities apart of the counseling process.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I start by seeing my clients within the many systems they live in and use this lens to see our work.

Strength-Based

I want to identify and lean on clients strengths and resources they currently have and make sure we strengthen those resources.
