Hi, my name is Morgan. Do you ever feel that your life is nothing but a big puzzle and that some pieces are missing? You are not quite sure how to find those pieces. And if you do, you don't know where they fit. So you look for someone to help you find the pieces and hopefully, put them where they should go. It's not always an easy, but once completed, you feel whole. I was there once. At the age of 21, I decided to leave the U.S. and travel abroad by myself for 6 months. Then it was off to Central America. My eyes were wide open! I loved to experience different cultures. And my curiosity for differences never went away. A college mentor told me about the field of social work. So I got my MSW and thus began a new career. After years of working in the field and at various occupations, I decided to join DOD and become a Clinical Social Worker for the Navy. After 14 years of government work, I went into private practice. Now I'm here and I love it! It isn't everyone who can love what they do and do what they love. I'm waiting to hear from you; excited to hear your story and maybe share a little bit of mine so we can connect and build a rapport. You are the center of this journey and it is a humbling experience for me to be a part of it. I look forward to hearing from you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

A level of comfort and understanding that only a therapist can know because he/she has been there. I have been a client myself and I know that it's not easy to take that first step. After you settled down and feel that level of comfort, we will discuss the reason(s) why you want therapy. Finally, we will review the process/expectations you might have about therapy and what you hope to achieve. And together, we will develop a plan tailored just for you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I am a holistic and integrative clinician who believes in getting to the core of a problem. Given the technology we have today, you will most likely come to therapy with a predetermined condition that you read about and honestly believe you have. Most times you may be spot on. I use positive therapy to draw upon your strengths, wisdom and the symptoms you characterize as your own. I am not in a position to prove you wrong. I have respect for you and the research you bring to therapy. You will be in a safe place and seen without judgment; you will be met with compassion, respect and honesty. You can expect that I will be direct with you and answer any question to your satisfaction. I use very practical tools that are scientifically based to help you through your journey to become your most authentic self. Finally, you will be educated and enlightened regarding the connection of mind and body.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

This is what my clients have told me: I am kind, compassionate, caring, and always willing to research new developments in the mental health field. I am nonjudgmental. Finally, I am willing to refer out if there is a new development in mental health than would be more beneficial.
