Is something inside of you saying that it’s time for a change? Personal growth and development start with a desire and a willingness to try something new. I often tell my clients that the most important part of therapy is the relationship between them and their therapist. Sometimes it takes a few tries but don’t give up before the magic happens; the best investment you can make is in yourself. I survived childhood cancer and have overcome many obstacles in my life which left me with a unique perspective that emphasizes post-traumatic growth. As a second-generation meditation practitioner, with a Bachelor’s degree in Contemplative psychology, a Master’s degree in social work, and an almost 20-year background as a licensed nurse, I emphasize a holistic approach and understand the importance of the mind-body connection. I bring a deep sense of presence to my work and I will hold a safe and sacred space for you to be fully seen, heard, accepted, and supported just as you are. My philosophy is that people are the experts in their own lives and that therapy is not so much about giving advice, but more so about acting as a mirror to gently guide individuals to find what they are seeking from within. Together we will identify your dreams and goals and work through any blockages so that you can learn how to take care of yourself and thrive. I invite you to experience this state of being by beginning the journey of self-worth, healing, and exponential growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we will begin getting to know each other by completing several intake assessments and discussing your goals and expectations for therapy. As our work continues you will practice applying what you discover in your sessions in your real life using your newfound insights and skills. As time goes on you will gain confidence as you experience yourself changing limiting beliefs and outdated patterns, eventually reaching the goals you initially set forth as you transform into a more authentic, healthy, and balanced version of yourself.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My practice utilizes Motivational Interviewing techniques, Person-centered therapy, Holistic therapy, Cognitive-behavioral therapy, Narrative therapy, Solution-focused brief therapy, Somatic therapy, Mindfulness-based therapy, Trauma-informed yoga and yoga Nidra, principles of Post-traumatic growth, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) certified as of December 2022.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With a background in Contemplative psychology and a cherished personal mediation practice, I use techniques that foster a state of mindfulness and bring forth qualities of awareness, non-judgment, compassion, and acceptance, which are four necessary components for sustainable growth. It doesn’t matter whether you have experience with meditation, want to learn about it, or have no intention of ever trying it, all that matters is that you are ready to work towards the life you want. I welcome you to trust the process and begin the journey; give yourself a chance! If none of the available time slots work for you please email me and give me some times that do.
