I have been a psychologist for 30+ years, and in the past year I've transitioned to a telehealth-only model so that you can receive treatment from the comfort of your home. Using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), I treat adults with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, trauma/abuse, adjustment disorders, and work-related stresses. In session, I strive to be caring, compassionate and conscientious, but with a side of humor, since I think it's important that we don't take ourselves too seriously as we try to navigate and adapt to life's many challenges and stressors. I also believe that therapy should be a collaborative effort, with patients being empowered as change partners rather than as someone "broken" needing to be fixed.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I view therapy as a judgment-free zone where we can safely explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviors, to improve your overall well-being. In addition, since most growth and change take place in between sessions, we'll discuss both strategies and potential roadblocks for you to use as you begin modifying your own thoughts, feelings and behaviors to live a happier and healthier life.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I have a fairly eclectic approach, with a strong emphasis on cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused strategies. Consequently, we'll often be looking at how you view yourself and the world around you, so that you can develop the skills to better handle stress and disappointment while also living your best life possible,

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that one of my biggest strengths is getting people to see how their negative thoughts and emotions can actually be a roadmap to future growth and improvement, rather than simply being obstacles to avoid.
