My passion is service toothers which lead me to the counseling field, Prior to getting my masters degree, I worked in a Domestic Violence safe house, and in community mental health. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session you get the opportunity to explore the reasons for coming to counseling. Often, we have so much to express during the first sessions and I want to allow the opportunity explore and express how you've been feeling and how its affected your function Before the end of the session, we will identify themes and challenges to tailor our treatment goals in the sessions ahead.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have experience over ten years of experience working with adults/adolescents diagnosed with anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment & mood disorders and serious mental illness. I offer an integrative therapeutic approach that aims to connect the associations between stress, life experiences, and trauma. This approach connects how your body and mind may be reacting as a result of these stressors. I can help to identify and utilize your strengths manage your mental health and to make better decisions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe that thought patterns, behavior and emotional wellbeing and very much connected. I utilize cognitive behavioral strategies to identify and change automatic maladaptive thinking and responding to strength based thought patterns. I can help identify destructive thought processes that affect emotional wellbeing and teach ways to reframe negative thought patterns and behaviors.
