Would you like to create space for work/ life balance? Would it be helpful to learn more about the connection between your behaviors, feelings, and thoughts? Are you ready to talk about coping strategies- both those that work and learn new ones? I work collaboratively with individuals and families to manage stressors, feelings of stress and anxiety, and cope with addictions. I help clients develop coping strategies that may challenge past thoughts and behaviors but lead toward the accomplishment of goals. Sometimes, it is simply reminding ourselves of what worked before and getting back on track and other times, it is about learning something never practiced before.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The whole-self will be taken into consideration (mind, body, spirit, community/family). Following your initial visit, we will develop a treatment plan with goals that define those elements in your life where you would like to see change and growth. During individual and family sessions, we will consider where you are on your path toward the accomplishment of these goals, taking it step by step and building skills along the way.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My therapeutic approach primarily utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral, Person-Centered, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing techniques. Specifically, in the field of addiction, my approach is congruent with the biopsychosocial model of addiction (biological, social, and psychological risk factors considered). I integrate a combination of mindfulness techniques, therapeutic activities and dialogue in sessions. Overall, I will work with you to find the treatment plan that is most specific to you and your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I connect well with high-performing individuals supporting their motivation for positive change. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
