Experiencing adversity is part of the human experience, and everyone deserves a safe space to heal and thrive. Whether you're facing communication challenges, wanting to further develop insight, or managing traumatic responses, I am here to support. Together, we will work towards solutions that promote resilience, connection, and well-being. At the foundation of all goals, I hope to instill and restore a sense of safety, trust, and empowerment in your life. In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about advocacy and education surrounding trauma-informed care. I believe in the importance of raising awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental health and trauma, and I actively engage in community outreach and attend regular training initiatives to stay abreast current events.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, the focus is gather the information that makes you who you are and impacts how you show up in the world. By determining what is important to you, we can discuss goals that are meaningful and will make an impact.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I hold safety and empathy as the utmost important qualities within a therapeutic relationship. Those qualities within the dynamic create a supportive environment where clients feel validated and understood, fostering trust and openness. Safety ensures clients feel secure to explore difficult emotions and experiences, while empathy establishes a strong therapeutic bond, facilitating effective communication and healing.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a structured therapy approach aimed at helping individuals, especially children and adolescents, who have experienced trauma. It integrates cognitive, behavioral, and emotional techniques to address the psychological effects of trauma and promote healing and resilience. I have been certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for two years, and have used the modality to process various types of abuse and trauma. In my practice, I have noted that the approach fosters empowerment, resiliency, and safety.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) focuses on accepting what is beyond your control and committing to actions that enrich your life. ACT teaches mindfulness skills, acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings, and clarifying personal values to guide behavior. I have used this approach for various concerns such as anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and more.
