My orientation towards psychology was born out of my own difficulties in life; I want to make sure that those who seek help are able to get it. That said, I do best with clients who are at their worst, rock bottom. Fear of death and existential concerns, intrusive thoughts and urges, powerful and intense emotions, chronic stress and fatigue, loss of sense of self, lack of meaning and purpose in life, not being able to tell what's real and what isn't, regardless what it is, I am prepared to help you. Whatever is your breaking point is the point at which you can change your life forever, I can help you through that process. The only way out is through. Most of my work is value-oriented and based in existential and nondual philosophy, ecological/systems, relational, behavioral, and transpersonal schools of thought. I also utilize my expertise in mindfulness and meditation, acceptance and commitment therapy, Internal Family Systems, and dialectical behavior therapy, along with a variety of experiential therapeutic techniques from various theories and traditions. I know what it is to truly suffer, so much of it can change if you're willing to just talk about it or reframe it. You can be helped, all you need to do is ask. If I can't help you, I'll find you someone who can. No one deserves to go on suffering, no matter how big or small the problem. It is my life's work to help relieve the suffering of others.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After initial sessions you can expect to have a good idea of what it is like to work with me as a person, as well as the approach(es) we will be using for your specific plan of care. As we make progress, expect your goals and needs to change as your initial issues begin to improve and underlying issues begin to surface, this is when we get into the deeper and typically more meaningful work. At these middle stages of therapy are when you will also be feeling much more empowered and clear about what you are doing in life to meet your goals. As we near the completion of your goals, much of what we will do in sessions will fall under maintenance and resolving symptom relapse, this is also a time in which we can discuss other issues you've had that weren't priorities to begin with.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I mostly utilize Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems, with blends of nondual and existential philosophy serving as the foundation for our work. Teaching people these kinds of mindfulness and awareness-oriented skills and concepts goes a long way towards unlocking the deeper healing, and there are likely a handful a skills that will stick with you from the beginning of therapy through the rest of your life. Being a true generalist as I am, I do pride myself on being extremely well read and well versed in a plethora of therapeutic approaches, and can tailor every aspect of therapy to meet your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I work for you. You come to me for help and I give you the tools and show you how to use them, as well as provide a space for you to express literally anything. My greatest strength has always been my advocacy for my clients, and you will see very early on that although I maintain a very stoic and calm attitude and am typically relaxed and easy-going that I will work hard for you and with you. Of course you'll need to see it for yourself to fully believe it, but you will be able to trust and rely on me. I will always tell you the truth, be transparent in what I am thinking and feeling, and be attuned to where you are at in the healing process.
