I am an independently licensed individual and family therapist for the states of Massachusetts and Delaware. For over 6 years I have had the honor of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds on issues that are impacting their lives. I approach treatment through a collaborative framework, recognizing that you are the expert of your life experience, and that my role is to accompany you through insightful exploration to help increase self-awareness, reach your goals, and bring about lasting change. I provide an empathetic, calm, and nurturing environment, where you will feel heard, and most importantly, understood. Together we will work on ways to help you understand your feelings and compulsions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My therapy style is client centered, culturally aware, warm, empathetic, non-judgemental and interactive. I believe in meeting people where they are as I am skilled at clinically modifying the engagement process, and treatment plan to meet the unique and specific needs of the individual.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I build trust with my patients. Recognize the signs and symptoms of trauma exposure on their physical and mental health. I promote patient-centered, evidence-based care, safety, trustworthiness & transparency, empowerment & choice. Ensure collaboration by bringing patients into the treatment process and discussing mutually agreed upon goals for treatment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My goal is to help patients to retrain their brain and body by connecting their thoughts with their feelings. I support patients to develop new beliefs about their dysfunctional thoughts, their role in it, and their ability to cope. Focus on cognitive behavioral interventions appropriate to phase of therapy and readiness of the patient. Collaboratively set agenda, review homework, discuss agenda items, and provide periodic summaries.

Couples Counseling

Utilize the Gottman Method to help couples deepen their understanding of one another while managing conflict in their relationship. It may also help with other issues, such as intimacy and marital adjustment.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I develop a cooperative therapeutic alliance with my patients, creating a solution versus problem focus approach, setting measurable changeable goals, focusing on the future through future-oriented questions and discussions, and scaling the ongoing.
