My treatment methods

Adlerian

With an Adlerian Theoretical Orientation, I utilize an eclectic blend that maintains existential-humanistic core modalities. The blend of applied therapies include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) approaches aligned with Person-Centered constructs. As an Adlerian orientated counselor with narrative techniques, it is important to fully understand a person’s perspective, lifestyle, values, and beliefs to properly address what their own unique needs are to build a plan to help clients arrive at goals.

Christian Counseling

My educational background involves a BA in Christian Counseling and Psychology. I have maintain a focus of client support to address spiritual counseling needs and internal spiritual dilemmas or crisis. Counseling support is provided in a manner that aligns with the faith needs and beliefs of the client, which can be utilized in therapy as much or as little as the client desires.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Trained in ACT approaches and techniques as a proactive form of psychotherapy. The clients are encouraged to evading, suppressing, or battling their inner emotions. Instead, they are guided to recognize that these profound emotions are valid reactions to specific situations and shouldn't hinder progress in their lives. Through this realization, clients learn to embrace their challenges and dedicate themselves to behavioral changes essential for personal growth, irrespective of their life circumstances or emotional states.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) implements are preferred because I align with the idea that our thoughts do affect how we feel and behave. Adlerian Theory and CBT have many similarities in the way they are applied. Most of all things start with the right mindset. A person’s mindset has tremendous influence on how life is navigated throughout the world. CBT has the ability to assist in achieving evaluation and change in thinking to improve mood. Mood can be significantly influenced by thinking which can produce behavior. CBT helps clients to debunk automatic thoughts and opposing emotions . The goal is to gain practical and real ways to cope with concerns that is structured and systematic, which allows clients to build and sustain healthy thoughts and behaviors.
