As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I work every day supporting individuals with multiple issues. My determination and love of learning has guided me in my practice by taking information, and turning it into action in the best interest of those I serve. My approach is mindful, and compassionate. One of the most profound determinants of how we experience our lives is how we feel about ourselves–our sense of worthiness. We live with ourselves day in and day out—and the story (our narrative) we tell ourselves is reinforced for better, or for worse. The health of our relationship, the one with ourselves, often dictates the health of our relationship with others. We all have the innate capacity to grow and change, to be resilient in the face of challenges, and to be empowered to change patterns of behavior and relationship that no longer serve us. I work to meet people where they are and to create a safe and supportive environment in therapy that allows for exploration and growth. My goal is to empower individuals and families to identify and utilize their inherent strengths to navigate obstacles and interpersonal challenges. I am relational, and solution focused, and am not afraid to tackle “hard issues” from a strength based perspective. Working with Poly couples is something I also enjoy! Mindfulness, unconditional positive regard, and hope are tenets I live by, and will be ever- present in our therapeutic journey. I hold dual licenses in Vermont & Florida.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Hello, and welcome! I am committed to creating a warm, nurturing environment where you can feel safe, heard, and understood. Our journey together begins with me getting to know you – understanding your unique experiences, the challenges you face, and the path you have walked so far. I believe every individual's story is important, and I am here to listen to yours with compassion and empathy. Understanding Your Struggles Dealing with difficulties like anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or the impacts of past trauma requires courage, and I recognize the strength it takes to seek help. My aim is to fully understand what you're experiencing, how these challenges affect your life, and pinpoint the areas where you feel most stuck or overwhelmed. Fostering Hope and Growth In our therapy sessions, we'll work together to identify your hopes and goals. Whether you're seeking effective strategies to cope with stress, need deeper insight into your relationships, or wish to heal from past wounds, I am here to support you in achieving these objectives. My approach is collaborative, aimed at empowering you to discover your strengths, develop new coping skills, and journey towards greater peace and fulfillment. Your Personal Path to Healing As we move forward, remember that this is your personal journey. You set the pace, and I am here to guide, support, and accompany you every step of the way towards the outcomes you seek. Together, we can work towards a brighter future where you feel more connected, resilient, and at peace with yourself and the world around you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My methods for treatment are eclectic and depend on what works best for the individual I am working with. I gravitate towards humanistic, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches. I truly believe that people are the experts of their own lives, and I wish to empower them as much as possible. As a therapist, my job is to listen and explore what behavioral/mental issues and stressors are impacting your life. When appropriate, we might review various interventions, such as education about a specific issue, coping skills to manage stress, or interpersonal skills to improve relationships. My goal is to act as an objective sounding board, and I want you to feel safe to discuss anything with me on your journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am most passionate about working with adults who want to manage self-defeating habits, feel more confident expressing themselves, and form healthier connections with the people in their lives (including themselves). I help those who are seeking meaning and feeling “not good enough” improve their self esteem, so they feel proud showing who they really are to others, get more comfortable taking interpersonal risks, and figure out how to move into the future aligned with their most authentic self.
