Hi, I'm Dr. Jessica Keith, a licensed clinical psychologist. As you read this, perhaps you are looking for a therapist who is just that right match for you -- someone compassionate who will not judge you, who will understand you and really see you. That’s the type of therapist I am. I became a psychologist because I believe in people's resilience, and the power of an empathetic, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship to help people access their inner strength and wisdom. I have extensive experience supporting adults with concerns like relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, self-esteem difficulties, and losses. My particular specialty is helping survivors of trauma, especially interpersonal traumas, to process and begin to heal from what they have suffered. For many years I’ve also provided therapy and supervision to helping professionals exposed to trauma, like healthcare workers and other therapists, who may be struggling with burnout or compassion fatigue. Outside of my professional life, I love theater and spend my free time volunteering at a local theater and seeing as many shows as I can. If you are a theater artist or other creative professional, you might find I speak your language!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

When I work with a client, my purpose is to be fully present, to really listen, to not jump to conclusions or make judgments, to hear what is causing you pain and what you want to change, to allow space for all emotions, to offer resources and tools if they might help, and most of all, to let you, the client, chose what is right for you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I've received advanced training in multiple types of therapies. The types of therapy I offer, among others, include Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based therapies, short and long-term psychodynamic therapy (which was my original training), and multiple evidence-based treatments for PTSD and trauma like Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE).

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been a Clinical Psychologist for about 15 years, after finishing my PhD at Columbia University in NY. I think my experience brings to therapy sessions not only skills and wisdom to draw from, but also a sense of calm and a true readiness to hear whatever you want to talk about. I'm also proud to provide culturally sensitive and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy. I hope you find your session with me is a safe space.
