Hello there, I am licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Michigan. I have been practicing for the past 3 years. I believe that everyone has the ability to make positive changes to improve their mental well-being. I prioritize creating a space to process our experiences without feeling judged. My main goal as a therapist is to accompany you on your journey and equip you with tools to deal with your issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is to get to know you and for YOU to see how YOU feel about me. A therapeutic relationship is the most important part in therapy. So if you feel we are not a right fit, I would encourage you to searching for the therapist for you. I will ask you questions about yourself, family, mental health history, what brought you to therapy, and what goals you have for yourself. If you decide to continue with me, we can plan what your treatment will look like.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been working for the past 3 years and my greatest strength is helping people find their strengths and use them to continue helping themselves. At the end of the day, my clients are my greatest strengths when they unlock their potential.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My favorite way to use of CBT is bringing awareness to the thoughts patterns we fall into that cause harmful effects and find a way to reframe them in a way that is more realistic or self-compassionate.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a useful treatment option to teach mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance. All three of these skills are useful in our everyday issues, especially with dealing situations and systems we cannot control.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

My use of acceptance commitment therapy is to help clients move through difficult emotions and find healing.

Motivational Interviewing

You are the expert in your life. Motivational interviewing is a way to help you help yourself. I am not here to tell you what to do, rather explore what you think works best for you.

Trauma-Focused CBT

TF-CBT is about education on the effects of trauma in our body and mind. With a trauma focused approach we explore ways to cope with it and find solutions.
