Hi! I am a licensed clinical Social Worker based in California. I received my Master's of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California. I help women become “unstuck” and can assist with the struggles that block women from being our best and I am so glad to see you. I am proud that you are looking to start something. I believe that starting something new is the worst! But let’s give it a try. I believe in providing care with respect, compassion, sensitivity and in a judgement free zone. Things get tough, and while I have experience, I am not the expert. You are! My role is to help, guide, support, listen and hopefully encourage you to realize that you had the skills all along, I just needed to remind you. I will meet you where you are at and try and understand your challenges and hopefully, help you sort out a way to figure things out.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During our first session, you can expect to talk about what brings you into therapy, in particular what is the first thing that’s been stuck in your head. That thing that has been occupying so much of your time and providing you with discomfort. Let’s start with how that started, when it started and the relevant parts of your story.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strength as a provider is that I understand how difficult things have been, how starting something is the worst and how brave you are just for looking for a therapist. I have extensively worked with clients struggling with women’s issues, anxiety, depression, and life changing events. As a woman of color, I also understand the issues that follow us and have extensive experience in providing services to BIPOC communities.
