Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Master's degree from California State University, San Marcos and have been providing mental health services for the past 6 years. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment for self-exploration. My approach is grounded in the belief that every individual has the potential to grow and change and is deserving of acceptance. I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient therapy, partial hospitalization, residential programs, intensive outpatient therapy, and schools. I am experienced in working with individuals seeking help with anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, self-esteem issues, life transitions, and relationship issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session together will be an opportunity for us to explore what you hope to address in treatment and any questions that you may have regarding the therapeutic process. I will discuss your expectations of treatment, my ethical obligations to you as your therapist, and review general questions to get a sense of your concerns. I will provide space for you to discuss your goals for treatment so that we can work collaboratively to create a treatment plan that best meets your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am passionate about helping others discover their self-worth and assisting them in overcoming obstacles that are impacting their ability to achieve their personal goals. I feel that my greatest strength as a therapist is creating a trusting, safe space in which my clients feel heard and empowered. I would be honored to be given the opportunity to be a collaborative partner in your journey to creating meaningful change in your life.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

As a Level 1 Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist, I can help you to re-establish a sense of safety, identify triggers, and reduce traumatic stress symptoms.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques to assist clients in identifying, acknowledging and accepting the full range of emotions that may surface in response to life's stressors. Through learning to accept our feelings as opposed to denying or struggling with them, we can learn to be mindful in the present moment and to live life in accordance with our own self-identified values.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I employ CBT techniques to assist clients in challenging and replacing thoughts that may be keeping them in a negative feedback loop. By helping clients to identify thinking patterns that are not serving them, they can begin to experience greater self acceptance and make positive behavioral changes.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My overall goal as a therapist is to first and foremost create a safe, validating and nonjudgmental space for self-exploration. Through use of Person-Centered techniques, I strive to assist clients in increasing self-awareness and uncovering how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors affect their life experiences.
