Hello, my name is Obidi. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Do you think you or your loved one need help with any mental health issues and want to talk about it, I’m here for you. Your choice of a clinician is a very important decision; however, a well-suited one is necessary to make progress. As an experienced clinician, my mission is not only to help individuals resolve the issues that bring them to me but also to assist them to achieve greater satisfaction in their lives. I work with all kinds of people; nonetheless, my interest now is in adults who are suffering from various types of behavioral and mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, Insomnia, PTSD, Bipolar, and Schizophrenia. To help you fulfill your goals promptly, together as a team, we will look into the concerning issues and reach an agreement on better treatment options. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I provide mental health services consistent with Advance Practice Registered Nurses’ (APRNs) educational preparation for which clinical competency has been established/maintained. My role involves physical and psychosocial assessments. Depending on individual needs, I do the following: take full health history; perform initial comprehensive mental health evaluations; diagnose mental health conditions; recommend treatment options; ongoing mental health needs; review patients’ medications as well as recommend new modifications; provide preventative care; orders and interpret diagnostic tests/studies when necessary; provide patient/family education

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Treatment methods includes medication, counseling, and psychotherapy. I utilize various diagnostic tools Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) Scale; Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9); Mood Disorder Questionnaire; Insomnia Severity Index or Sleep Assessment Questionnaire, CAGE Tool; and, PTSD Checklist

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My attitude is optimism and motivation; hence, I feel very strong in assisting my patients in developing ways to reduce your stress, manage your emotional pain, and cope with agonizing experiences. Importantly, I take delight in making myself present at all times and supporting my patient through the processes to make positive changes in your life.
