Hello! I am a Marriage and Family Therapist committed to helping my clients make changes in their lives that will lead to a sense of positivity, empowerment and the ability to move forward in areas where they might feel currently "stuck". I help my clients achieve this through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Family Systems Therapy, meaning I will help you examine what is going on and help you on your path towards making daily thinking and behavior changes that will bring improvements to your life. My specialty is working with teens and people in their twenties. However, I enjoy working with ages 10 through late adulthood as well. I can work with individuals, couples or family groups. I have helped many clients with their anxiety, depression, and family issues. I am passionate about improving lives. I am here to help you live your life to the fullest. If you are interested in scheduling a first visit with me, please contact me at https://growtherapy.com/.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After your first session, we will work together to figure out what thinking and patterns of behavior are serving you well and what thinking and patterns of behavior are not helping you. We will locate your strengths that you will use to move forward to help you gain a deeper understanding, making better choices, and ultimately, making a better path for yourself. You will noticeably feel as if a weight is lifting off of your shoulders as you move forward in the process, and the end result is a feeling of renewed strength.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Treatment methods and tools that I use include the following: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Recognizing the distortions in one's thinking that are creating issues and reevaluating them in order to actively make changes in negative behaviors. I will walk you step-by-step through this process, helping you locate patterns of thought and behavior that may have been unknowingly plaguing you. Family Systems Therapy: This therapy offers a deeper understanding of the origins of thought and behavior patterns that stem from past and current family situations. Combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we will look at what might be maintaining current thought and behavior patterns. You will be supported every step of the way with empathy, positivity and encouragement.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strength is my ability to quickly identify patterns and problem-solve with my clients in ways that are connective and supportive. Another strength is my ability to work with clients from an array of backgrounds, age groups and issues. However, I am especially talented at working with adolescents and young adults. Also, I am adept at working with the issues of depression and anxiety.
