My journey to mental healthcare began with realizing how underserved certain populations, particularly minorities have been historically. After earning my Master of Science degree from Troy State University. I completed my clinical hours for licensure at The Family Center in Columbus, GA from 2014-2015. I have worked for The Veterans Crisis Line, ACT teams, community service clinics, healthcare plans and in private practice. I have provided one on one, group and family therapy and led groups for different underserved populations.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session you can expect that we will begin working on building rapport, complete an intake assessment, identify goals and discuss treatment plan so that we may begin moving forward with your journey into therapy. I will tell you about my background, approaches and techniques I use in my practice and answer any questions that you might have. Please note that it is perfectly normal to feel nervous when starting therapy with a new provider, even if you have been in therapy before. It may take a few tries to find the right provider but please remember It is very important to ensure that you find a provider who is a good fit for you so that you may obtain the most benefit out of your sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a empathetic, non judgmental, collaborative and goal-focused clinician who believes that people can heal and grow with the right support and who always tries to maintain a sense of humor about life. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I aim to work in partnership with you. Our dialogue and treatment plan will be tailored to your specific needs as we utilize evidence-based practices to help you achieve your goals.
